Omani Lamb Shuwa: SUBSCRIBE for more: T-shirts: In this video we’re going on an Omani food tour in Salalah, in the southern Dhofar region of Oman! We’re starting with a traditional celebration food of the Dhofar region, that called Madhbi, where they take an entire goat, and grill it fresh on hot rocks. The cooking process is incredible and it’s an ancient desert bbq method. The meat was so fresh and cooked perfectly with natural smoke embedded into every bite. Many locals also like to eat their meat with a dip of sweet local honey for a sweet touch. We’ll continue this Arabian food tour with camels, which are the lifeline in this region of Oman. We’ll learn to milk camels, very unique, and then drink camel milk as fresh as it gets! Next we’ll try Dhofari bread, another old tradition, baked in below ground overs. It’s crispy and slightly sweet, and incredibly tasty. Finally to complete our Omani food tour today we’re eating late night street food, and this time not only the amazing camel mishkak of Salalah, but also - you guessed it - a camel burger! Thank you to Ahmed, Oman Travel & Tourism. Follow him: and his tours: Also a huge thank you to Ali for taking us around Salalah! The political entity known today as Oman is ruled by the ethnicities of northern Oman. By the way, the region historically called Oman is northern Oman today. The Dhofar region, including the central region of Oman today, joined Oman in 1870 AD. There is no doubt that Mark noticed the ethnic, cultural and religious differences between the Omanis (North Oman) and Dhofaris races, in terms of skin color, skull size, facial and body features, bone density of the skeleton, culture of life, and beliefs. Since the ethnicities of northern Oman are the ones who hold power, decision-making and rule, they choose the types of people who receive celebrities who visit Dhofar. The ruling ethnicities of northern Oman realize the importance and impact of the image on those who watch these programs emotionally, which are presented by celebrities followed by millions, whether the viewer is from Arab or from outside the Arab region. Therefore, they have been playing with such a card for a long time. In terms of skin color, head size, features and bone density of the skeleton, it represents an obsession in the culture of the ethnicities of northern Oman, because such reflects the ethnic identity, whether Arab, African, Somali or Bantu or Ethiopian or Dravidian from South India

Welcome to Oman, Mark!
We are thrilled to have you here in Oman, and I wanted to take a moment to personally welcome you. I’ve been following your episodes almost every day, and so has my family. We truly enjoy your content and appreciate the insight you share with your audience.
If you’re looking for something special to explore, I highly recommend visiting Salalah during the Khareef season, which takes place during the monsoon. It’s an incredible time of year when the landscapes transform into lush greenery, making it one of the most beautiful times to visit. The cool weather, stunning natural beauty, and unique atmosphere make it a must-see destination.
Oman is a beautiful country with warm, welcoming people, and I’m sure you’ll have a wonderful time here. Wishing you a pleasant and memorable stay in Oman!

Mark Wiens in Salalah!
I've been living in Salalah for over 23 years, and I'm so glad you visited our beautiful city. As a foodie, I've always hoped that top food vloggers like you would come here to experience not only the incredible local cuisine but also the unmatched natural beauty that sets Salalah apart from the rest of Oman. I'm a big fan of your work, Mark! One of your vlogs inspired me to visit Ghorepani in Nepal, and thanks to you, sukuti has become one of my favorite dishes.

Omani people still carry their indigenous culture & ethnicity none other than any GCC & the younger generation is being well taught by their ancestors to be rooted so firmly with them. Omani hospitality is worlds renounced, wanna expedience the same make a trip to OMAN.

Drinking fresh camel milk is an incredible experience! Alert: Brucellosis a bacterial infection (Malta Fever) is quite common with people living in Middle East which occurs due to drinking unpasteurised milk of camel, goat, sheep.
