As an Egyptian who us familliar with other cultures and countries Egypt is one of the most hospitable, friendly and welcoming places you can ever visit in your life.
Egyptians has the generousity of arabs compined with the pride of their antient civilization that they like to show it to everyone who visit.
The only problem that you need to make your research or visit it with a friend or a guid to avoid scamers as Egypt is not wealthy country, people their suffer from alot of financial burdens.

You have now eaten the meat part of the Egyptian kitchen. The Egyptian kitchen is very large and diverse with many vegetarian dishes as well as Egyptian sweets. There are many dishes that are loved by Egyptians. You must try them, such as okra casserole and bechamel. Molokhia, stuffed vegetables of all kinds, and many other dishes

Stop talking with your mouth open and smacking your lips. It sounds disgusting. You know something is going to be hot but you still shovel it in your mouth then you gave to have your mouth wide open for all the food to be seen in your mouth. Disgusting manners. What do you expect from a SIMPLE AMERICAN.

The magic in Egypt isn't just the pyramids, sphinx, river Nile, nor the air you breathe coming out of the soil of a green land early in the morning myst! It's within the people and food and tradition and even religion. Cause people will smile with love and respect! So this is Egypt! Yala ya habibi.

LOTS OF LOVE and respect to Egypt and the Egyptian people! My parents were telling me stories of their travels to Egypt back in the mid 80's and even then, they were telling me about how friendly the people were and how GOOD the food was. Lots of of love to Egypt!

Mark, the guy said this in Arabic: he (talking about you) has lit up Egypt. ( it means something like you blessed Egypt with your presence. He added: i do not know what he is saying, but I love him a brotherly love. I am going to give him the best piece etc.

Mark! I’m now living in Egypt (I’m from Hawaii) and local life here is so different compared to the US. I’m so happy to see you here virtually. I ate at Koshary Abou Tarek last year. Always enjoy your foodie adventures. Ramadan Kareem to all Muslims!

As we speak we are heading have a taste of the Koshary about Tarek. Cairo really struck me with it's virus. It's lively, welcoming and thank you Mark for this great food tasting tour. Did some of your place before in Malaysia before.

For the first place I can imagine Mark Wiens was just asking for few items but the owner gave Mark all items in his store so the owner can ask Mark to pay for all he never asked for. Typical Egyptians.

So Mark after you ate that Egyptian food you didn’t had any diarrhea because Egypt is worse than India in food hygiene but still Indian food is spicy so it’s safer than the Egyptian food

Welcome to Egypt and hope you go to the New Cairo restaurants as well - you will surely enjoy it even more there.

The Egyptians are totally something else you can never see or experience anywhere else! I don't care where you go but nothing is like Egypt or the Egyptians. Ya Salam ya basha! Habibi ya osta!

I was rather surprised by this. Your friend Sonny went there a couple of years and absolutely hated it. However, the food here does look pretty good; and it is definitely boisterous.
