Yes, I've been based in Thailand for 3. 5 years and while I enjoy boat noodles and kuay teow tom yum quite frequently, I rarely eat yen ta fo - mostly because it's not my favorite - too sweet and kind of flowery for me. I also do love all the little ingredients in it though

Your big fan here Mark. The pink sauce is made of red fermented bean curd which is Chinese. That mysterious ball is deep fried shrimp ball. The seafood goodies suppose to include preserved squid and jelly fish. Crispy deep fried Tofu is a must too. Extravaganza

Yong tau foo ( also spelled yong tao foo, yong tau fu, or yong tau hu yong tofu; yen tafo in Thailand) is a Chinese soup dish with Hakka origins commonly found in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. There are also Teochew and Hokkien variations.

Nice video's If you are able you should try to find out the main ingredients by asking the staff. A simple question would have made clear that the ball you ate was made of fish. It's also more clear for people who watch your videos: -)

Hey, I may have accidentally editing that out of the video, because when I was eating, I do remember it being sour. I think the original adding of the vinegar wasn't focused or something like that so edited it out.

the sauce is made from fermented tofu/(bean curd) the tofu is fermented with a specific kind of yeast which turns it red. they also add food coloring on the street vendor ones to make it more appealing: p
