Osaka Food Guide: On Day 7 in Osaka, we headed straight to eat one of the best bowls of ramen Ive ever had in my life, and after that we ate okonomiykai. 1: 20 Ramen Yashichi ) - Just down the street from where we were staying, there was a ramen restaurant that Dwight took us to, called Ramen Yashichi. Its a very famous ramen restaurant in Osaka, and from the moment they open their doors for lunch (and before, theres typically a line waiting outside. We waited in line in anticipation, and finally got in and ordered. It turned out to be probably the finest bowl of ramen Ive had, really incredibly good. Ramen Yashichi ) Address: 3-4-8 Toyosaki, Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka Open hours: 11 am - 4 pm on weekdays only (closed on Saturday and Sunday) How to get there: Ramen Yashichi ) is very close to Nakatsu Subway station. Once you exit the station, walk east, and the ramen restaurant is just before you reach the main highway. 6: 03 Okonomiyaki Kiji ) - After an incredible bowl of ramen, we headed over to the Umeda Sky Building where we went to a restaurant called Okonomiyaki Kiji ) to eat one of Osakas most famous foods - okonomiyaki. Okonomiyaki still isnt my favorite food, but this was pretty good, and what I really liked about the restaurant is that the chef was extremely nice and friendly. A great place to try okonomiyaki when youre in Osaka. Okonomiyaki Kiji ) Address: 1-1-90 Oyodonaka, Kita-ku B1F Umeda Sky Bldg, Osaka 531-0076, Osaka Open hours: 11: 30 am - 9: 30 pm from Friday - Wednesday (closed on Thursday) How to get there: Okonomiyaki Kiji ) is located on the basement floor of the beautiful Umeda Sky Building. Its about a 10 minute walk from Osaka Station

This is for Mark wein and all his worshiper. I love watching your food travel videos alot. I have been watching your videos since june of 2018. I watch it work home even when I sleeping I put on my wireless headset and just listen to u as u talk in your video pretty much I have remember all the scenes from pretty much all your video clips. The only thing I don't understand or get is you have alot of sympathy for other country people and their food which I respect alot my Man. But how about your lovely wife Ying. Most of your videos I either see her behind you or in front of you when walking not much have I see u walk side by side holding hands. at lease hold her hand when walking on some dirt path or slippery payment. even when she was pregnant with your kid she follow you around the world tour to the dessert, hong kong, never have i seen your take care of her but she was taking care of you instead. wy is always she waits in the line for the both of you guys and always u get to pick where to go and what to eat. always when the food comes you eat 1st and she never get to break her own eggs. you show great respects for others but not for your wife and son. There was this one video in LA you were walking in front and left both Mica and Ying 2 blocks back man I just wish you would respect your wife like you would respect for food and others.

Mark, you made a right decision not to go up to the observation deck. A better suggestion: Go to the other tower (same building, pay the same price to visit the art gallery in there. You get the view + amazing art + much quieter. There is a coffee cafe as well so you can enjoy the same view with almost no tourist and drinking green tea latte. The view and the moment are so special and feel like a smart local people (the few people in there are local Japanese people as well. Don't tell other LOL

Wow, seeing the places that you are visiting in my country, I think I am safe to trust your choices of the restaurant in other countries. I don't know how you figured out the existence of this ramen shop without the ability to decipher the Tabelog though, which is a Japanese exclusive version of Yelp.

I just wanted to thank you Mark Watching your genuine, ecstatic reaction to all the food inspired me to take my first trip outside my country to Japan and eat at all the places you recommended. It makes me so happy to watch you be excited about good food. Please keep it up: )

If you are planning on Traveling to Osaka again, there is this Shopping outlet called Ueno. So if you ride the train from Osaka to Ueno I think if I remember correctly it should take either 1 or 3 hours direct. It is a great place to visit.

Tried 3 of ur recommendations. ikkaku, the tuna shop & Yashichi ramen. Yashichi ramen is truly delicious. such unique flavours. must go for the the expensive shoyu bowl in order to get the grilled chicken meat. better than ichiran

We went to that tiny okonomiyaki restaurant 7 years ago - the food was tasty and the staff made us feel so welcome. They even gave us an okonomiyaki spatula to take back home to London - still use it for cooking today
