my Osaka Food Guide for details on restaurants in these videos: On Day 11, we were back in Osaka after a quick trip to Kyoto, and we woke up to do some sightseeing, and to eat some more delicious Japanese food in Osaka. 00: 23 Shitennoji Temple - To start our day in Osaka, we first headed over to the Shitennoji Temple, one of the oldest and most well known temples in Osaka. We walked around for a few minutes, but unfortunately the lookout point that I wanted to see was under construction, so couldnt go inside, but it was still nice to visit. 2: 19 Kushikatsu Daruma ) - The area of Shinsekai in Osaka is known throughout the city for a Japanese food called kushikatsu, a homegrown Osaka creation. One of the most famous restaurants is Kushikatsu Daruma, and since there was no line, we decided to give it a try. I didnt think I was going to like kushikatsu all that much, but I have to admit that it was pretty good - all sorts of deep fried items on stick, with a delicious dipping sauce. 7: 08 Sumiyoshi Taisha ) - After kushikatsu and walking around the Shinsekai area for a while, we caught the tram to Sumiyoshi Taisha ) temple. One of the most famous things there is the bridge, which was beautiful. I would highly recommend visiting Sumiyoshi Taisha ) when you visit Osaka, Japan. 9: 32 Conveyor belt sushi - For lunch we headed back to Osaka and to Namba Station, and we had a quick meal at a conveyor belt sushi restaurant. Plates were 129 JPY, and overall it was good. I think most people go for the quick sushi, and its pretty fun. 12: 18 Dotonbori ) - After doing some work back at our apartment for a few hours, we headed back out into Osaka, and did some walking around and sightseeing at Dotonbori, one of the most famous area of Osaka. 12: 56 Osaka Ohsho - King of Gyoza - Before having dinner, we had a plate of gyoza at Osaka Ohsho - King of Gyoza, right in Dotonbori, which was pretty good. 14: 05 Ikkaku ( ) - For dinner we headed to a restaurant called Ikkaku (, right in the Shinsaibashi area. They specialize in chicken, and they have both old and young chicken which you can choose from. We got both types of chicken, and I think the young chicken might have been the juiciest chicken in Osaka. It was amazing, a bit salty, but incredibly flavorful

Pertama kali dapet gaji selama kerja di jepang, seneng banget pas bandingkan dengan rupiah, salary ane kisaran 15 jt. Eh ternyata disini sama aja. Pengeluaran juga lumayan. Mahal. Kalo bisa ditabung utuh. Dan langsung pulang ke Indo, mungkin bisa cepet kaya. Tapi ya gini. Pemasukan dan pengeluaran gak beda jauh. Ngiler ngliat mark wiens mkan ayam. Bosen di asrama makan tamago kakegohan T. T glekHarus tahan demi menabung.

Me and my friends are gearing up for a big Japan Food Tour next year and I'm definitely taking notes on where to eat from you Mark. I also say Mike Chen's videos but you certainly had more time spent in Japan than him and I just love how you find the best places to eat despite being on a budget but I want to go there and just splurge on food. And then dunk myself in an Onsen by the end of the day.

The reason why that chicken is so juicy and at the same time saltier in deeper within the meat is because it was submerged in brine overnight. They might have added some spice with the brine, but trust me you can make the same chicken at home at a much much cheaper price. Just make sure to buy an organic free range chicken cuz they taste the best.

Youre picking up the sushi wrong: -) And, its actually acceptable to pick-up sushi with your fingers. And, to dab your sushi with wasabi using your fingers too. :-) I learned over two years Japanese table etiquette: -) DOING A GOOD THING, MARK. Dining, cuisine, manners and sitting at the same table always unites.

It's amazing to eat kushikatsu and yakitori in Osaka, Tennoji. I also came to the New World. Kushikatsu's key is still the sauce. Rotary sushi is wasabi. Dotombori, Namba, Sumiyoshi. He also has a full course of grilled chicken. Thank you very much.

you should try Daikousushi at shinsekai which very close tennoji zoo, that is the best sushi I tried in Osaka with affordable price, Sushi comes with wasabi already and what you only need to do is brush the soya sauce on the sushi
