Subscribe to my channel: my NYC food guide: T-shirts: On Day 32 my wife and I started the day off by going to Russ & Daughters, which is another legendary restaurants in NYC for salmon bagels. I then had what could be the best tacos in NYC at Los Tacos No. 1. 00: 25 Russ & Daughters - When I asked where to eat in NYC, one of the top recommendations along with Katzs deli was Russ & Daughters, which is a legendary deli in NYC that specializes in cured and smoked salmon with bagels and cream cheese. Russ & Daughters is nearly always packed, and when I went we had to take a number and then wait in line for about 15 minutes to get our order. Although its quite touristy in NYC, it still remains a classic and a food lover's place in the city. I ordered the Russ & Daughters classic sandwich that included Scottish smoked salmon, caviar cream cheese, onions, and tomatoes. I kind of regret not order the belly lox on a bagel as well, but Russ & Daughters is pretty expensive. Although the bagel and salmon was small and expensive for what it was, it was amazingly good. 7: 15 Los Tacos No. 1 at Chelsea Market - After an NYC classic salmon bagel, we headed over to Chelsea Market. I wasnt too interested in much else at the market except for Los Tacos No. 1 as I was ready for some proper tacos. Just from the looks of the place, the aroma of the meats and the salsas, and from the line, I knew if was going to be good. I decided to go with all tacos and I ordered adobada, pollo asado, nopal and carne asada. All the tacos were freshly prepared and assembled before being served and I added on some more salsas before grabbing them to takeaway. All the tacos were good, but by far the best tacos in my opinion at Los Tacos No. 1 is the adobada. I could have eaten another couple plates of tacos de adobada, they were so good

Russ and Daughters has good fish, H&H bagels are good. Bring these home with a block of Plugra butter, good lemons, capers, fresh cream cheese (you can add your own fresh chives or scallions, a pinch of salt, a pepper grinder on the table. Salmon should be near room temp to soften the fat and intensify richness. I like open faced, though would never deny one their own preference. Mark certainly looks to be in a salmon delerium: -)

I really enjoyed the part when you say mexican food, specially tacos is one of the things you miss the most while living in asia Cheers from Coatepec, Mexico, home of the best coffee, and some gastronomical wonders, you should visit sometime

In NYC, the worker response after Thank You is most often No Problem. When one leaves NYC and maybe is in the South or Mid-West, the response is a genuine You're Welcome. I'm sure it's just culturally ingrained in NYC but it makes a difference. We know it's not a problem, but would rather feel welcome Thank you

Man I miss REAL bagels. All I've seen at the grocery store are puffy bloated doughy things that are nothing like real bagels. They're _extruded_ bagels, NOT the kneaded, boiled, baked REAL bagels. I might have to try and find some place where I can mail order NYC bagels

Hey Mark oh my goodness that smoked salmon and cream cheese looked sooooooo good but definitely waste of time having tomato and onion in my opinion. And very expensive but the bagel was great quality obviously. Loving your work paula 64 in the uk x

People need to understand that large cities are expensive to live in and eat in. Not only NYC. LA, San Francisco, Chicago, Seattle, Miami, Paris, Rome, etc. And you need to find where the locals eat not just the tourist traps.
