Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan is one of the most famous attractions, and the beauty is mind-blowing : On Day 19 of our food and travel trip to Bhutan, we dedicated the entire day to trekking to Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan (Paro Taktsang in Bhutanese Dzongkha, which sits literally on the edge of a cliff. The hike takes about 3 - 4 hours or so, and since I wanted to beat the main crowds, my wife and I left from the hotel quite early to get a head start. It worked out quite well, because we were some of the only people on the trail that early in the morning. The fresh air was amazing. We wound our way along the trail, and soon we could get amazing views of Tigers Nest hidden in the clouds and on the side of the cliff. The trail, although steep, isnt really dangerous in any parts, as long as you keep your eye on the trail and dont try to get too close to the edge. At the top of Tigers Nest Monastery they dont allow any photography, so you have to check in your bag. We walked around the monastery for a little while, ate some snacks, and then headed down. Despite Tigers Nest Monastery in Bhutan being one of the most famous attractions and icons of Bhutan, it really is spectacular. Round-Trip Taxi from Paro to Tigers Nest - 1, 400 BTN (20. 99) Its typically recommended that you visit Tigers Nest at the end of your trip to Bhutan so that you acclimatize better to the elevation. Gangtey Palace Hotel - After returning from Tigers Nest, we checked into the classic Gangtey Palace Hotel for our final night in Bhutan Disclosure: It was an honor to be invited by MyBhutan to visit Bhutan to explore Bhutanese food and culture. Thank you to MyBhutan Productions for making my trip and this video possible Do you want to explore Bhutanese cuisine in Bhutan? Go to to book your exclusive food tour with MyBhutan

What impacts me through this video is that I'm an English teacher in Korea, but mostly what we are exposed to is academic English rather than everyday English because we never speak English in Korea, so this video is going to teach me a lot of real English, which I have acquired a lot as I follow you. I'm in love with you, Mark. I expect to sharpen my colloquial English with your help, which is more meaningful to me as an English teacher. I really appreciate this site. I am now your huge fan until I have become like a native speaker. Thank you so much, Mark. I'm Tony Joo, by the way.

A reincarnated soul in the form of the tour dog. Perhaps someone that was not kind to animals in a last life, now lives on the path to the temple following strangers and asking for bits of food in exchange for protection and guidance to the destination. Who's life is more blessed? The tourist people that come and go for just a brief moment, or the simple creatures that live amongst the mountain and the sky? Nature is these creatures temple. When trekking, please be kind to nature, even the plants and rocks and insects belong there. We people are simple visitors in the world.

The one and only 2nd paradise nd carbon neutral country in the world. those clips really inspired me getting back home sooner as i belong to that particular place. its kinda chicky blooke you travelling without any guides where u have missed all of the main holiest/sacred spots there. i wish if you could visit with some local assistance whereby could learn all the sacred historical events with manual steps. Cheers and looking forward to see you njoying the trips in each n every corner of our country. Pelden Drukpa.

The hike information is good but Im not really interested in what this guy is eating for a snack. He seems a bit too happy about himself. More scenery and less footage of him would better. I appreciate the information about the hike to the Tigers Nest.

i love his editing, like how the music sneaks in at 7: 56 and he modulates the volume perfectly in sync with his narrative (not to say anything about how beautiful the music is, in this instance.
