We are continuing with our food tour in Bacolod, Philippines, with another stunning dish that you have to eat when you re there - cansi. We re going to see the full process and then go to eat one of the best meals I ve ever had in the Philippines! The Bacolod Food Hunters - First of all a huge thank you to Martin and the team from The Bacolod Food Hunters for taking me around in Bacolod. Eron's Cansi House Cansi is a dish that includes huge beef bones simmered for hours until all the flavor is released and combined with ginger and onions, green chilies, and a especially a local fruit called batwan fruit (garcinia binucao, which gives the soup its sour taste. It s really an amazing broth and so addictive as well. When they serve you cansi you can taste all the herbs and acidity which breaks down the richness of the meat. The flavor was incredible. In addition to cansi, at Eron s you ll find a full spread of local Filipino food which you can choose from. We enjoyed a variety of different dishes including local Bacolod seaweed, smashed eggplant, and some grilled pork belly. It was a fantastic meal and something you can t miss when you visit Bacolod! Highly recommend Eron's Cansi House.

For all who have been replied to a comment with the face of sir Mark weins and they have been told that they have been selected as winner please disregard the comment I have been scammed for 5000 Pesos that's my allowance for 15 days, because they told me that I win iPhone 14 and they need 5000 Pesos for shipping. Now I'm broke because I am a working student and that's 14 days of work I don't know now where to get the money for the allowance of my studies because those scammers used the face of my idol Sir Mark to scam people and Please disregard there reply comment. Sorry I'm just spreading awareness.

Foreigners watching this episode don't know how good this soup is. For a first timer like Mark and making this dish (and swearing by it) his new favorite Filipino dish, doesn't give much justice how good this soup is. If there is one food that is really travel worthy to visit, one of them is Cansi. The beef Chaolong noodle soup of Palawan, which tastes similar (less the tanginess, can give Cansi a good fight.

Been watching awhile. I am amazed at how much food he is eating and has eaten throughout the years. I could not eat one fourth of what he ate in this video and I am 185 lbs, 6 feet tall. Used to be 250 lbs. When I was 20 years old I could eat like him but took a toll on my health.

Living the dream. I would like to travel. But I don't have the money. I'm afraid of flying. I have no one to go with. Thank goodness for the internet! Mark is so down to earth like listening and walking around with a buddy, nothing fancy schmancy, just being himself

Mark, you have taught me SOOO MUCH about Filipino Food. I just lost my Uncle, Antonio, who died last Thursday. A Filipino Radio broadcaster who gave me many years of GREAT food restaurants and spices I was able to share with my U. S. family. Thank You!

Mark, you show us how the aromatic fruits and veggies release their flavors without even slicing open! Amazing! I cook a lot at home, and have never stopped opening what I contribute to the ingredients. I realize now I do not need to. Thank You!

I love seeing how you look so happy when you eat! I watched this with a smile on my face, knowing you're just one island away (waving all the way from Lapaz Batchoy's home turf, Iloilo! Glad you're enjoying your stay here, Mark! :)

Calamansi is the spelling of Limes in the Philippines. I LOVE how Mark always refers to this fruit as Calamansi and NEVER calls it Lime. It is wonderful because it is my FAVORITE fruit here in the U. S. when I am cooking.

The highlight i think for Mark's video including the previous episode is how much he loves the chilis! He basically eats a ton of these like its nothing for him! hahaha! so there yeah, chilis are the main dish here

I love bone marrow. I'm glad Mark is showing the unique food items from each culture. Not to be rude, but I loved his reactions when he was pulling out the marrow. LOL amazing and hilarious, but genuine too!

9: 51 the lady was talking about a riddle, and it goes like this. There are so many trees in the forest, but one is the best. And yup, but one or batwan is the answer. Or Garcinia Binucao.
