Hope you re having a great day! Today we re in Cebu, Philippines and going with Carlo and some friends to eat at a legendary goat restaurant where they specialize in goat heads. Then after that we re going to try a few local Cebu street food snacks. Thank you very much to my friend Carlo from KalamiCebu always great to hang out, and be sure to follow him for fantastic food recommendations in Cebu, Philippines. Cyria s Kandingan - On the outskirts of Cebu is Cyria s Kandingan, a very popular restaurant that serves all things goat. Along with the kaldereta, which is one of their signature goat stews, the most prized dish they serve are stewed goat heads - and they only serve 80 per day. Everyone I saw orders a mix of dishes, but doesn t miss the goat head - and they sell out fast! After the amazing goat meal, we continued on this Filipino street food tour with pancakes that are made just outside of a school. The pancakes are served hot and fresh with a little peanut butter on the inside. Finally to complete this food tour we stopped at the market to try bibingka, a Filipino rice cake cooked in a wood oven. It was another fantastic day of Filipino food in Cebu!

While the meat on the heads of animals is tender and incredible, unless you knock out the teeth, rip out the brain, eyes, nasal cavity and tongue, it's disgusting.
Innards are desirable in many cultures but they're not good for your innards.
Even though those little carts and bicycles cooking snacks on the street are often good, they often use wood that has paint on it to cook with and it imparts poisonous fumes into the food, and they are a lot less than clean with no way to wash anything, including their hands.
Just stand back and watch a man running a food cart take a break behind a nearby bush or wall to relieve himself and go right back to handling food and money.
And placing piping hot food into plastic bags just puts more poison in the food.
It's desirable to dive in to local foods, but use common sense.
Not saying I've never eaten stuff from all around the world from all kinds of vendors, but had food poisoning more times than I can count and nearly died from food poisoning quite a few times and just had to draw a line, haven't had food poisoning since.

Everyone has different cultures and are used to eating different foods but the way Mark shares is very respectable and explains things very well and clearly for those of us who wouldn t normally eat things like goat head or meat. I give Mark mad respect for what he does. He not only honors the customs of the country he s in but everyone who watches him too. Thank you so very much Mark. Safe travels. Carlos didn t seem like he liked the eye as much as Mark. He faked it really well though.

Mark Wiens take a look at minutes 8: 26, stop the video and zoom in, it's full of hair. Be careful, how can you eat something like that. Look at the people who cook it or even the conditions in which it's cooked, it's very dirty. I've been following you for several years and it's unbelievable how can you eat something stinky just for a video.

Hey Long Neck in your early videos you used to taste the food and you'd look like you was about to fall out your seat. I'm wondering when did the OWE WOW come in? Why did you stop rolling your neck and eyes so goofy like and saying uhm to owe wow what was the turning point?

Quality content Mark. This is a little exotic for me even tho I am a Filipino but living in the city for all my life. Its like your taking us to a whole new level of Filipino food. Superb content. Not the ordinary content from a foreigner food vlogger.

There's a lot you haven't seen yet mark. It's your advantage because compare to u. s, it is cheap here and you can make a lot of food reviews and still making a lot of money. You can spend not much much money but you can earn so much because of the dollars.

I hate the people say Mark Wiens Fake his reactions, If you are a true follower of Mark you would already know that he mentioned before he doesn't give a lot of explaining to the specific Dish if he doesn't really like it. Mark Wiens is a Legend

Mark s Smoked ghost pepper by Kiva has been a life changer and the gentle smoke flavor is something I have never experienced, that has so many different flavors and the spice level is on point. You can really use it on anything!

I watched your recent uploads of your Philippines tour and you are the only one person I heard chili has a fruity flavor. I'm so impressed on your scoville tolerance to the point you can taste the fruity flavors of chilies.
