When youre in Chanthaburi ) dont miss the special durian curry Day 1: Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here: Welcome to Day 1 of my Eastern Thailand food and travel tour. Eastern Thailand is in my opinion often overlooked or underrepresented when it comes to Thai food. Many people do visit, but they tend to go straight to some of the popular islands like Koh Chang immediately, while passing the rest. Even in Bangkok, just a couple hours drive away, youll rarely find any Eastern Thai food. So in this series of videos, my goal was to learn about Eastern Thai food, culture, and travels, and share it all with you. Chanthaburi ) is about a 3 hour drive from Bangkok, and this is where we began. Chanthaburi is a charming little town, next to a river, and plenty of history. One of the icons is the Catholic Church, which is the biggest in Thailand. Heres all the Thai food we ate and things we did on this tour of Chanthaburi, Thailand: Morning Market ) Grilled sticky rice ) - 10 THB (0. 32) Grilled chicken ) - 15 THB (0. 48) Chanthaburi noodles ) - 30 THB (0. 96) - These are one of the unique speciality dishes of Chanthaburi, crab noodles that you need to try. They are very sweet, but quite addictive. Je Eat Reem Nam ( ) - Overall, the bowls of noodles here were quite tasty, though portion sizes were quite small. The restaurant is iconic and located in a great location. Tom yum seafood noodles ) Rice seafood )

Hi Mark. I want to thank you posting these videos of Bangkok Thailand. My dad was a advisor to the thai navy back in the late 60's. We were eating a at a thai restaurant here in NJ. My mom was watching the videos while eating and brought back a lot of wonderful memories. I have 3 older brothers and 1 sister. I sent the videos to them. They were older and would remember more. Again thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures with your family to us. And I agree too much chillies. I can't wait to see more of your adventures.

What I love more than watching you eat is watching how sweet you are with people. All sorts of people. What an amazing personality you are Marc. So hooked on your videos now. Way better than Andrew Zimmerman. way better. Sweeter and more genuine. Down to earth and just enjoying life with your beautiful family. I love that about you.

Hi Mark When I was in Thailand 15 years ago I had a dessert from a street cart that was a green wrap (like a tortilla) with a stringy cotton candy-like sugar inside. I was pretty young when I had it so I can't remember it that well but it was my favorite thing I've ever had. do you know what it is? Thank you Love your vids

I love all his videos It seems to me that the sponsors just want to steal the ingredients and dishes from these poor people without compensation, but we enjoy the adventure of different places and food. I might not never be able to travel to all these places so it's like he takes us along for the ride.

Mark, you make me hungry every time I watch your videos. My Father and his family are from Trat as well, and yes he loves his Thai chilli peppers It's funny how people are now finally giving Tumeric some exposure, as we've been cooking with it since I was a kid Keep up the good work

When Marks says, a little bit or some, expect that it is a HUGE amount. He eats everything, he likes everything, even if he says the dish is too sweet for him, he would still say that it has the right balance of flavor. Im not sure when to know if the food is really good or not.
