Extremely flavorful Thai deer curry with pineapple crowns Day 3 (Traveling from Chanthaburi Trat ( ): Eastern Thailand Food and Travel Tour. Watch all 8 videos here: We continued on our Eastern Thailand food and travel tour, today driving from Chanthaburi to Trat. Trat ( sometimes also spelled Trad in English) is the Eastern most part of Thailand, bordering Cambodia. They are famous for fruit, and a few islands, especially Koh Chang that are popular tourist destinations. Thai phrase of the day: If you havent eaten it, you havent arrived ( ) Key ingredients of the day: Naw sabparod ) - pineapple crowns Sala ) - salacca zalacca For breakfast though, still in Chanthaburi, we ate a dish that many say you have to eat in Chanthaburi, known as kuay teow moo liang. Kuay Teow Moo Ba Malee ) - Decent restaurant, nice quiet neighborhood location. Kuay teow moo liang ) Kuay teow neua liang ) Price - 30 THB (0. 96) per bowl Khao Gaeng San Toong ( ) - The meal I was most looking forward to during this day though was a legendary Thai rice and curry restaurant serving Thai Trat style curry and rice. They didnt have a huge selection of Thai curries, but what they did have was spectacular. Their deer curry with pineapple crowns, was the dish of the meal - amazing Thai food. Fish curry ) Deer curry ) Green curry, king mackerel fish balls ) Mackerel ) Cockle pineapple curry )

Where I come from, when a restaurant is on the small side, has a single sided menu, but is fully packed, or has high ratings etc, youre basically in for a mind blowing treat. Gordon Ramsey cited this as a specialty menu because the restaurant knows certain dishes very well and they play to their strengths. I love it when they have a great menu that uses local and fresh produce. You can really appreciate the specialty, care, and expertise placed into each and every dish. Small menus are a great sign

Mark, I know you love chili. Thai chili is the most contained pesticide in among all vegetables and fruit in Thailand which causes cancer. Thai people die from Cancer the most. You can guess why. You are what you eat is not about being fat only. Best in to grow your own chili in your home and carry your chili with you. Hope you read it. we want u to stay healthy and cancer free because we love your show so much. Take care.

Just realised (thanks to this video) the snake fruit you that always mentioned before, is actually what we called salak in Indonesia. Ive always wondered what it was but always forget to check in google. But, in Thailand, do they had it peeled beforehand and then sell it? Here, they always sell it still covered with its skin. You should try the Indonesian ones too someday.

I was born in Thailand and moved to Australia when I was 4yrs old. My mum still tries to make authentic Thai food for me. Everytime I watch your videos I miss the Thai street food so much. Watching you try and eat everything makes me so happy Thank you for your videos. Keep them coming

That second street diner you visited; looks good, the food does look good, but I noticed it was stone cold. No steam or anything in the way of heat emulating off them dishes. I'd be quite concerned to be eating cool if not cold foods in Asia, especially fish.

how do you keep so fit with all that eating. I am from india with your recommendation i tried the crab omelet in Bangkok made by the lady with race bike glasses, one word outstanding. Thank you. may be i can make some massala dosa for you in return when next bangkok.

There is no faking in your expression when you are not amazed by something. There is never a YUM face when something sweet crosses your lips. I'd probably enjoy all those sweet dishes because those are my type of flavors. You ALWAYS make me hungry
