In this episode of The MUNCHIES Guide to Tehran, Gelareh feeds tankfuls of paddlefish and beluga-valued at up to -35, 000 per fish-at the nation's first home of farm-raised caviar, Shilat Fish Farm. Eventually, these prized bottom-dwellers will be killed and harvested in a factory in Northern Iran, but currently they live in conditions similar to their species' natural ocean habitat. In the spirit of farm-to-table fine dining, Gelareh gets the royal treatment at Li Dona, a members-only restaurant and jazz lounge. She learns that when it comes to fish eggs, bigger is not necessarily better, as she tastes spoonfuls of black gold on toast served with butter, onion, egg, pepper, and lemon juice. That host lied when she said she's eaten caviar before when she was younger. Also when she said -I kinda like the preparation though. You know, the little things. - She likes the preparation than the eating. - --If she has eaten it before, why the hell will she say - I'm really nervous - before eating and the later say, - it's really nice. A nice buttery, salty. taste. - And asking a silly question about cholesterol. --Real caviar is never bitter. Other fish eggs substitutes are bitter. She tried other fish eggs but never caviar. --Also, did anyone cringe when that metal spoon was used to serve the caviar?

If you're going to pay for caviar why overpower it with all the other crap. It's called black gold because it's expensive. Caviar has NO health benefits lol what a crook. Also about the vacum, most caviar comes in a tin FULL to the top so there is no air, if you put yours in a shitty jar and have a big air gap of course you have to vacum it duh!

-Black Gold - Three Kings Gold, 49er Gold, (I guess, any gold, shamrocks / Ireland, Pot-O-Gold, Black mulch - great soil / compost for growing vegetables, etc. - Army Colors, -The black knights-, those varieties of teams with the black and gold, etc. ; the Beverly Hillbilly's and that black gold in (assumably) -> their back yard-.

Caviar is just about the most overrated shit on earth; tried it a few times when my college roommate stole some from the ultra-luxury hotel he worked at in the evenings. Honestly, your taste buds will experience a much bigger an explosion of tastes if you simply eat some Indian food or spicy Thai food instead of caviar.

I'm very sorry but that restaurant - Lidoma should not be a 'members only restaurant', at all! -They don't even know how to serve Caviar properly! -The waiter is using a metal (metallic) spoon. that's completely wrong as it detracts from the natural flavour. Its should be Mother of Pearl or wooden! -Come on guys!

OK, OK, OK - Rock Bottom, Whitefish, Re-absorbed Caviar (Could be The Absorber / Shammy, Kiss, - I actually prefer shrimp / like crab and lobster; but, shrimp is more economical and -> I would rather have any sardine over any caviar, any day. just my opinion - with thanks of course.

Caviar should never be served on steel or stainless steel plates or forks, as this can change the taste of the caviar and make it bitter or metallic. Eat and serve caviar with utensils of ceramic, glass or plastic to preserve the taste! Li Doma served it wrong!

Sad, part is Caviar only can be extracted by killing the Fish! After that enjoy eating her eggs! Killed living life and regeneration process too; for what. few minutes of mouth Teste and turn into human excrement.
