Just imagine it's the other way round, when octopus eats humans alive. If you give it a quick death and then have it served, it's practically the same taste. Some restaurants serve for live consumption. Why eat when it's alive? I'm a Chinese myself, but I don't torture the things I consume. Instead I gave thanks and say my grace. At least this is much better, eating it 'raw' instead of eating it alive.

Definately something I plan on trying. I've ate squid a few times, but they were definately not moving on the plate or in my mouth. It would be a novelty and a fun thing to try out. Feeling food moving around in your mouth is definately something that anybody with an open mind and a playfull spirit would want to try.

I think some of us need some science lesson- here they don-t eat the whole octopus live, they chopped it up which means it-s dead and the reason why it moves it-s because of the nerves. Just like frog legs when you just chop them fresh

I wish she was more descriptive than -it's very strong- and -it's good. - How does it compare to regular octopus? Is it brinier? Saltier? Fresher? More umami? You could use more damn adjectives than just -strong- and -good. -

Why are you all complaining. people don't hate when people eat oysters. People eat oysters alive their still alive after you shuck them. only difference is the muscles for movement have been torn during the shucking.
reply

The octopus is already dead, it moves from muscle memory and because it-s so fresh the nerve synapses still fire and thus, there is movement. It feels no pain, it was killed immediately.

Some of y-all just never heard of other people-s cultures and lives huh? A lot of you in these comments are completely dumb, I-m sorry but it-s being blunt.

You know what, this would probably make a good diet since you gotta take time to chew and when you take time on your food you don-t get hungry anymore: P
