Awesome stuff, great to see a philosophically-Maori/Indigenous lead initiative on such a broad reaching platform such as this, as well.
In an increasingly consumer driven World, hopefully this inspires and encourages more People to stop and think about practices around food consumption and sustainability, especially through these trying times. High time People slow down and think a head to the future of Our Kai.

I knew french lady when I was little, who was a friend of the family, She would make a Bouillabaisse, kind of similar to a Cioppino? where she utilized all of the fish for meat and broth, As a kid I was not that into it, but as I got older my palate changed, Fish stew or in a Curry with a big chunk of bread, is just beyond YUMMY!

I don't understand the obsession with fillets and wasting half of a good fish in some cultures. Most people in the Mediterranean and Asia eat fish whole. You use your fingers at the end and eat most of the meat you can. My wife is such a surgeon on fish with chopsticks, she won't leave a little piece of meat for cats.

Fish filets are pretty cheap where I m from. Entire fish are a lot more expensive though it depends on the type of fish. Though the cheaper whole fish usually have an unusable head tends to not really have a lot of meat on it and not such good flavor.

Chinese people prefer to eat fish whole. Especially Cantonese style steamed fish like snapper, grouper or barramundi. The head is the beginning, the tail is the end- it s symbolic and means everything I m life has a beginning and an end.

Uhhh, make fish head soup, make grilled fish or fermented fish heads and use it as a dip.
Only white people knows how to kill and waste food and parts, no wonder they are so destructive.

This is awesome, people don't realize fish are the only wild animal that we consume at a mass level. All other animals are farm animals. We can't let fish population vanish.
