I am from Bengal, where the young green jackfruit, at various stages of maturity is a great delicacy, and prepared in wonderful ways. Have you ever tried the fresh product that might now be sold in London during the spring and early summer months? Processing it takes some time, requiring it to be blanched to remove the gummy sap secreting elements that can also stain your clothes! Anyway, the filmy parts you discarded also taste delicious! If you find any older generation Rarh Brahmin ladies from West Bengal in England, please ask them about their recipes for cooking green jackfruit! Please also try to add small cubes of fresh, mature coconut, lightly fried golden, raisin also puffed in hot oil, ditto raw shelled peanuts divested of their skins, into your -pulled pork- dish for added taste and interest. Cook these along with your other flavors. Some garam masala powder, i. e. whole green cardamom skin and all, cassia bark, whole cloves, ground together in a coffee grinder dedicated solely for spices, will go great with your jackfruit, as will gently roasted and ground whole cumin, sprinkled in at the very end. Buy whole spices like mace, nutmeg, and a cheap microplane grater, along with a cheap coffee grinder. That will simplify your task and last for many years, even a decade or longer. Happy cooking.

Why all the hate? Go watch other videos if this is not for your liking. I'm a meat eater, but I think she made some really good looking and possibly tasty foods. Christmas isn't all about the forever-traditional foods but about love, giving and family. -Respect to those who can live by the vegetarian/vegan diet and to this blogger by showing her recipies without critizising meat eating or promoting vegan diet as the only best diet there is etc.

i hate these comments. Why can't a vegan not have unhealthy food at christmas. Are we all forgetting that being vegan isn't just about being healthy but also about standing up for Animal welfare. And stop the nasty comments about the way she looks. She seems perfectly happy and healthy to me, that's what matters the most.

Oh, dear, I'm so happy that you are vegan, but please change for your one health the quality of the products. its insane to cook with margarine and to use this kind of souses. other way I realy like your idea for christmas dinner but I'm gonna change some products thank you

My girlfriend is transitioning from vegetarian to vegan, I'm a meat eater but I can honestly say a lot of veggie stuff is nice. She baked cinnamon rolls and then told me they were completely vegan, they were the best ones she'd ever made, so not all vegan food is shit.

Well that's nice and all but what's she gonna do in me country where you have a tradition for 12+ dishes on the table. Not to mention that they have to be all vegan, considering that the Orthodox Christians fast on Christmas Eve.

This looked like shit to be honest. I'm so glad I don't have to eat some disgusting chinese fruit and tasteless vegan brownies for christmas. I'd rather kill myself than turn vegan, meat all the way! :-)
