Luke Sandburg-a. k. a. -Lobster Luke--is a friend everyone wants to have. Instead of paying nearly -40 per pound for California spiny lobster, he braves the dark waters off the coast of Venice, California, and catches those bad boys himself. We tagged along for a night dive and, along with some of Luke-s buddies, got to enjoy the succulent fruits of his labor

10: 53-5 or 6 guys eating one lobster? -How much is that, a tiny morsel per person? -I'd get really pissed in a situation like that, just trying to navigate using the proper etiquette, dealing with feelings of guilt for possibly taking too much, not trying to offend anyone, ect, and no side dishes to help fill my stomach? -I'm sorry, but if Im still hungry afterwards then you failed as a host. --Living somewhere like in asia would be a nightmare for me. I absolutely cant stand sharing food.

YouTube commenter 1: No way I could do that. there are sharks in that water! -YouTube commenter 2: Dude. 25-lb lobsters there! -YouTube commenter 1: Yeah. but the sharks. -YouTube commenter 2: Big deal. i catch the shark and make shark fin soup. -YouTube commenter 1: The news said a guy got killed in that shark attack last week! -YouTube commenter 2: Ehh, the shark probably pooped him out by now. I'm not too worried. unless the dude had a prion disease. because you know. that's scary.

The lobster screamed because he didn't humanly kill it. When killing a lobster without causing it any pain, freeze it like he did, but slice it down the head first and not the belly. It will instantly kill it and actually create better tasting meat because if an animal is in distress a chemical is released that ruins the meat. I've been fishing for years and this is always one of the first things a fisherman ever taught me when catching any type of fish.

7: 07 please tell me that's cgi. -That feeling that somethings always behind you- I need to know if that was put in the video for fun, it has to be. I believe in a lot of crazy things and I've seen just as much insane stuff that nobody would ever believe. But please tell me that was not real because right now I can't believe what I just saw!

Guess I-m just dumb but I thought you ALWAYS had to boil a lobster alive to cook it, only way I-ve seen it done because I was always told that if you don-t do that you can-t eat then because they will make you sick or something. then this guy cuts them open alive/uncooked and then grills them after. I-m confused?

did he declaw the lobsters underwater? they didnt seem to have claws when they were in the kayak? And how could you bear hug a giant lobster and swim with it without getting pinched? Theres more to this story were not being told.

This guy got balls of steel because he's diving at the peak hours when sharks go hunting for things to eat. Not only that, california has a huge problem with Humbold Squid, which attack and kill many divers every year.

In my coastal town, people throw lobster back in the sea as locals are kinda grossed out by them and see them as bottom feeders. I am confident this will change also it will be good to put less pressure on other species.

I could just imagine this dude passed out half hanging off the side of his boat at like 2: 00PM and a camera crew rolls up and wakes him up like -What are you doing- And this shortly followed.

There is no way in hell I'm inviting my friends over to eat lobster. I will smash that by myself. I'll invite them over for burgers and hot dogs. but not something I risked my life for.
