I can't remember the name of the shop, but there's a pizza shop somewhere around Williamsburg staffed by young guys who play loud punk/hardcore music from behind the counter. I asked one of them politely, when handing over my cash what they were playing and he sneered without even looking up at me, 'dunno, whatever. music'. I thought, 'wow, is that how punks talk to each other here? ' I've never forgotten this place, however I can't for the life of me remember the name of this pizza parlour. And before anybody rudely offers me an unsolicited opinion like, 'hey it's New York, get used to it', I'd say 'firstly, you don't know what I do for a living, secondly no thanks and lastly, no other place I've been to in NYC had a battalion of smarmy little cunts working there. I wonder if anybody else may have an idea which pizza parlour I'm referring to?

This is not just an ode to pizza, but an ode to a way of running businesses that's dying out. Seeing all these places run by siblings who have inherited it from older generations is just beautiful. I used to work in a bookshop run by three sisters, the third generation of the family. The family had been selling books in the city for over a century. It closed down back in 2018, and two of the three main bookshops in town are big chains. The old unit is still empty, and anytime I pass by it breaks my heart a little.

New Yorkers really do think they are the center of the universe. American -pizza was invented in New York. - No documentation or real evidence. Just stories. -But that doesn't matter- Cuz, you know, it's New York. Well I'm the Price of Zamunda, and I hereby declare pizza was invented by the Anasazi in modern day Arizona millenia ago. Yep, not New York, not Italy, not Italians, actually at the time in history it was Mexico. Historical fact, Mexicans invented pizza. Quesdillas! Duh.

I have seen these New York City Pizzas in movies and on TV since i was a kid and have always been wanting to try it. -The pizza here in Sweden is nothing like these, we have since some years back Dominos Pizza here and i really enjoy them but i guess that Dominos is nothing like the real New York Pizza. -I must some day visit New York and eat real pepperoni pizza and try all other nice streetfood. -Thanks for this video!

Best part at 16: 07 that girl in the black dress turns the corner and ends up on camera, realizes she's being filmed and backs off. 10 sec later she is still waiting to see if the camera's gone. Probably lied about where she was gonna be then realized there would be evidence on YouTube ---

I love how the granddaughter said that her granddad came over to the USA from Naples, Italy -on a boat-. Seeing how that was likely around 1905, I have to ask. how else could he have come to the USA from Italy back then. Zeppelin?

Patsy-s East Harlem best in NY. Arturo-s a close second. Haven-t been in Totonnos in 30 years. Back then it would open up and make a certain number of pizzas then close for the day. You had to time it right. Good pizza though.
