The Real Hollywood Power Lunch

Restaurants are more than just places to eat in Hollywood. They-re the location in which deals get made, inspiration is found, and ideas are born. Food is way more than fuel. Our host Kris Yenbamroong is exploring the intersection of food and entertainment. We start with a power lunch at Spago, some classic Jewish deli cuisine at Canter's with Greg Sestero, co-star of the cult classic film The Room, and end the night with late night chili cheese fries with one of Hollywood's best food stylists. In our world, the food is always the star

Forget Spago, it hasn-t mattered since the 80-s. Lol. If you want to be pretentious try The Ivy on Robertson. If you want to really do an old school deal, try Akashi, Tender Greens, or Father-s office in Culver City. Otherwise, check out anything on Abbot Kinney. That-s one of the places that new media deals are done. Oh, and don-t forget the cultural wasteland called Playa Vista. They-ve renamed my childhood playground, Silicone Beach. -

This is a cool show but (PERSONALLY) I feel like the answers aren-t getting fully answered, they-re being rushed. I know it-s a food show but it-s like throwing in questions to fill in space, like they don-t matter cause how they-re handled. and then showing shots of food and it-s just -it looks delicious- it-s kinda throwing me for a whirl. Like idk if it-s a show on food or actually about the people he-s meeting or the hosts journey.

Unless this show is called -Former Hollywood Professionals in a G-Wagon Getting Diabetes- this host sucks. -It-s so good- WOW thanks bro I now totally get what it-s like to eat the iconic smoked salmon pizza at Spago! The food should be front and center, but this guy seems too image conscious and the show suffers because of it.

Please keep this host(i know he himself is a restaurant owner). He is calm, soft spoken, respectful to the culture and not a showoff. He is like the asian Anthony Bourdain. Like your pizza show, you will be missed out if you don't utilize him properly. Keep the series. Or grant him a different series

Canters is great. I was on vacation and was shopping on fairfax and ended up popping into canters. I had recognized the name of it from probably a munchies or some other eatery show. A little pricey for what it was but it was a cool spot

Who else loves this host, Kris? He doesn't speak too much but asks good questions and makes his guest feel very comfortable. It just seems that so many hosts believe that to be a good host they have to NEVER stop talking.

I dig this, doesn't have the chefs night out look at my chefs knife tatoo onmy forearm feel, but Hollywood is kinda gross. so many people not being people. he should do more, travel across america, etc

Was hoping it'd be more of him alone with the food, it seems too focused on the conversations with the guests and it takes the focus away from the food he's trying. But still a great series.

Homeboy has a closet full of flower shirts. I wander when this dude was a kid, he imagine that when he grew up he wake up everyday with a closet full of floral attire. --What a G. lol -
