Hey, so, this is dangerous. She just took cassava and fried it from raw. Cassava is very poisonous raw. Yes, it's likely that she vaporised the cyanide (yes, I said cyanide) during the frying, but it's also very much possible she didn't. Here in Brazil, where cassava is native, we ALWAYS boil it until fully cooked and tender, which is the ONLY sure way of getting rid of the cyanide. You can fry it afterwards. We do, and it's delicious. Crisp on the outside, very creamy in the middle. But always, ALWAYS boil your cassava. Bonus: when you boil it, that middle fibrous vein comes out much easier.

You wanna know how bizarre nature is? Octopodes came from oysters. It's actually something like oyster scallop abalone snail nautilus cuttle squid octopus. -Yes, that's a very reductionist view, but it's also quite easy to understand. -
.
(the word octopus is greek, which is why I use the plural -odes )

move out of the pod style home and you can at least have a tiny hibachi for this instead of cooking like you're in a meth lab

NEVER use lemon or citrus on fish or schnitzel, etc. - it destroys the whole taste of the fish and meat. NOBODY WANT THIS!
