Not to sound like a broken record, but this is super easy and super delicious. And very likely different than your everyday stuff. Guest: I made this and it turned out great. The only thing I did differently was added a few chopped thai chilis to the mixture towards the end while waiting for the sauce to thicken. It turned out great and was a real crowd pleaser. I also sauteed some onions and orange bell pepper in the same sauce that I added to the beef and threw those on top of the rice as well and it made a great addition. Thanks for the recipe.

how important is the chili garlic sauce? I'd imagine it may over power the whole dish and make it spicy. I am going to try this and use a pork. Shoulder? Belly? I don't know yet but i'm just mainly worried about the cooking time being way too long for the belly and shoulder -- versus beef, you're eating it within 4 minutes after it hits the pan.

Sam, do you have a grease trap for your kitchen sink? I noticed that you put the spoonfuls of grease into the sink. I use the empty plastic coffee containers or I just use a ziplock bag after the grease cools down a bit. And then dispose of it in the regular trash.

C'mon Sam, why do you do this to me. I'm only 3 hours into my 3 day fast and I somehow clicked onto your video. Thats ok, I can always start it to tomorrow. lol. Great recipe, I think I'll add in a few more veggies when I make this.

Love all your recipes, really simple to make. Maybe I missed it but what rice did you use for this recipe? Can I use long grain parboiled rice? I don't usually make Asian but I love it so I want to make this one. Looks delicious. Thanks!

Cook your passion. But you already knew that. Plus, you were right about where to shop for my expensive trumpet and oyster mushroom habit (China Town) You're fine, get back to cooking

That 'liquid' you dumped into the sink drain is about 80% fat. I don't know how often you do this, but sooner or later, your going to have some big time issues in your plumbing.

Why throw away the liquid? That's where all the flavors are. just cook for a few mins more and the water evaporates without loss of the flavor.

Had some spare ground beef, looking for something to do with it. Have all the ingredients in the cupboard and this is going to be made!
