An old school recipe from my moms recipe box. And btw old school doesnt mean crappy - it means delicious. INGREDIENTS: 1/3 cup mayonnaise 1/3 cup diced yellow onion 1/3 cup shredded asiago cheese (or a combo of shredded Monterey jack & cheddar) 1/4 cup finely chopped parsley 1 sourdough baguette

My mom makes an cheese ball dip with crackers for parties with a really similar recipe. It's cream cheese instead of mayo which makes it firmer, but with finely diced onion, a bit of garlic powder, and a similar mix of cheddar and parmesan. But, it would also be awesome baked on bread like this. Try the same thing but with cream cheese instead of mayo

Sam, if one day you desperately need some Asiago cheese (love its unique taste, with a texture that looks like parmesan, i guess you could have it in 2-3 days, by fedex or ups. where i live, and 1 minute from my house there's a huge shop, that has it (but ALL shops have it, anyway. it's an italian cheese not everybody knows.

Hats off to your mom sam. I have some of the best memories in the kitchen with my mom. and she taught me her secret recipes. which everyone is blown away. and I perfected them while she was still here. everytime I make em I can see her smiling. enjoy the time you have. cause it's short in the end

Love your vids and your recipes and your philosophies about cooking tasty food. but being Canadian seems to me to be a-boot which cutlery I should use when my sheds-you-well is convenient for supper time. Oohhkay-then, so I am from Minnesota. if you want, you can let the Fargo jokes roll.

If youre going to do a cooking video and post it on YouTube why not have all the proper ingredients before hand, such as the Asiago cheese? Good stuff anyhow. You must just do these videos casually on the fly.

My mom makes a similar kind of bread that she got the recipe from one of my aunts called killer bread. The only difference is she uses green onion and just sharp cheddar and it is amazing.

my mom was Canadian, she never kept recipes, everything was in her head, she never measured anything, it was always some onion some salt and pepper. and that was about it.

Damn Sam you really are the bomb, always natural with stuff and never trying to impress no one. This is an awesome recipe that I will defenitely try. Keep it up.

Looks pretty nasty tbh. Way too much on top of it, could've done with half the toppings and fresh grated cheese instead of bagged stuff which is nasty.
