So easy and so delicious ok, we complicate slightly but deliciously by adding sausage and a fried egg. INGREDIENTS: 2 cups water big pinch Kosher salt 1/2 cup quick cooking grits 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 cup milk 1/2 cup shredded cheese (I like Monterey Jack, but use whatever you like or have) 6 ounces pork sausage 2 eggs 2 greens onions, finely chopped

Nice, but Dan Aykroyd did that whole I've cut the dickens out of my finger schtick four decades ago, and no offense he did it better. That said, you did show some true grit by finishing the recipe, so your take on it wasn't as corny as his.

Ok. Im a lazy grits/polenta maker. I throw the grits into cold water. so 1 cup of grits (not quick) to 5 cups water. Yup not boiling water. Hope your cut wasnt bad.

I whittled the tip of my finger off a couple weeks ago. sliced a nice portion of the nail off with it. Its fine now but it sure sucked at the time.

What most don't know is Sam's trademark is to either burn himself or cut himself. He usually burns himself every episode.
