I know im probably not the first to say this, but the og teriyaki that you describe as water-like has its uses. Its moreso to spray on as a finisher, cook up for about 30 seconds and then take off the heat. Too early you have soup, too late and its burnt and you can taste it. The thicc kind you make is more of a dressing. You put it on at the end of cooking or after cooking to infuse a zesty, umami, sorta flavor goo that masks most other flavors. Both have their uses, but i personally keep a squeeze bottle of teriyaki water for the purpose i previously described. Keep on truckin cookin boi! I love ur videos!

Sam The Cooking guy, Remember always use the right tool for the right job. I swear when you said you have an ideal that could take out the middle. I thought to myself. Oh God not a drill and then you pulled one out. Next time dont be a cheap ass and get a bore tool to take out a center of a pineapple. I laughed so hard at that. Thanks for the good laugh

Oh the stories we could tell you about our dogs. They've eaten spatulas, wooden spoons, tupperware, and ladles. They've stolen and taken back to their beds cutlery, frying pans, baking sheets, mixing bowls, and the cheese grater. Anything that has touched food, or been food adjacent, has been stolen and/or chewed.

Hey Sam, fellow Canuk here. I used your recipe for Teriyaki sauce, for my beef and broccoli on the griddle, kinda like your evo. You know that face you make when you taste your food, yep, that's what I did. Why aren't you on food network? Will be my go to sauce from now on.

Aloha Sam, I was dying watching you using the drill to make a hole in the pineapple The way i make the holes in pineapple when i want pineapple rings is, i slice the pineapple into my desired thickness and with a cookie cutter i cut out the core of the pineapple.

What I like to do, when making pineapple rings, is simply cutting a slice of pineapple, then using a small cookie cutter to remove the core: ) A bit less painful. I feel your pain, burnt and cut myself sooo many times, thinking I was clever. I was not.

My dog ate my favorite pair of shoes, lots of other stuff too, but I was the most sad about that one she'll consider almost anything you leave lying around (even if it's on the table, as long as she can reach it) a new toy.

See, the problem wasn't the drill. The problem was the bit. For this type of fruit demolition you need to use either a hole-saw attachment or a borer bit. A spade bit was just never going to work. Classic culinary mistake.

Just made these for a casual dinner party we had and they were AWESOME! That kewpie, teri, siracha combo WITH the teriyaki sauce, grilled onion, and pineapple on the burger. BOOM! Thanks, Sam. Oh, and you too, Maxy-Boy!
