Just made this for dinner tonight - followed the recipe exactly with the small addition of chopping up some pickle and tomato for optional topping. Thoughts: Pretty good - basically total stoner food. I thought I was going to like the cheese whiz but really didn't think it added much to the party, so I'd probably go with shredded sharp cheddar next time. My wife thought it was weird and didn't make sense - I guess she's just a traditionalist. Honestly, ultimately, for the time and work involved, I'd probably rather just make a good regulation cheeseburger and call it a day.

Thanks for sharing this! Gonna try this out with some modifications: no lettuce, cook the beef with some beef stock, add the chipotle/chili powder to the beef while browning, add American cheese at the end and let it melt. Substitute bacon instead of dried onions, garnish with diced up baby dill pickles instead of parsley.

Yeah, you dont want to make a taco too Mexican, just like sushi chefs in America use risotto instead of steamed rice, so its not too Japanese LOL I really enjoy your videos Sam, but this one made me think NNT is as gringo Mexican food as it gets, even Taco Bell uses corn.

Well from looking at it when your stirring in the chipotle chili powder, that it looks like crap, I wouldnt make short cuts like this if I were you. but then again, your the guy with three cook books out and your own restaurants. so. what the hell do I know, huh?
