Here's a truly evil curve ball: Every time Barry leaves the burner on, everyone has to. something. Start over? But really you could put a bunch of random stuff in a hat and just draw one out when he does it. Maybe even make him have to draw it and read it aloud just to rub it in even more.
It'd double as a training experience to teach him to stop leaving his burner on.

By now I've cooked both Barry and Jamie's recipe and I like Barry's much better. The sweetness of the Chutney works great with the tang from the pickle to balance the heat from the vindaloo.
