How in gods name were they SO surprised by jerky and jam? Meat and fruit works so well. Im American so I INSTANTLY think turkey and cranberry sauce during thanksgiving. Does the UK have NOTHING similar? If so, yall missing out. But just so youre all aware, it was very strange to see you guys think THAT one was bizarre. Seemed the most obvious winner youve done so far, I was surprised you chose something I think millions of people knew would work

Feta cheese or something similar with nutella or honey also goes well. I like to use a soft kind of feta cheese that is easily spreadable, my favorite way of eating this flavor combo is in crepes: a generous layer of nutella or honey and the cheese pressed down ontop of it, wrap it up and enjoy: D although i also like to just take a spoonful of nutella and place a little feta piece on the spoon and eat it straight

I know, I know, I'm only commenting now in 2020, but actually in Germany it's quite common to eat beef and gamey meats with Preiselbeergelee so the jerky one doesn't seem all that weird (I'm not quiiite sure how 'preiselbeere' translates, Google says either lingonberry or whortleberry or cowberry but also cranberry but I've had cranberries and they're not quite the same? Can someone help me out here)

This is late but here is what my family does with plain vanilla ice cream:
I dump as much cayenne powder as I can stand and mix it in. Sometimes I add a bit of black pepper too.
My brother mixes in Whatevwr beer hes drinking
My dad will mix in whiskey, lime, and pistachios
My mom adds maple syrup, sunflower seeds, and salt. Sometimes she does red wine and salt instead.

Sour cream and onions flavoured chips are of course already perfect on their own, but try eating it with durian ice cream. It's really, really good. The creaminess of the ice cream and flavour of durian itself works well with the saltiness and tang of the chips

You should do Peanut butter and Bacon. A Friend when I was a kid introduced me to Peanut Butter and Bacon sandwiches. It took me a while to try it but oh man when I did it was a wonderful thing. Use a good American style thick Bacon and creamy Peanut Butter.

Btw for the coffee with citrus zest: if you choose a different bean that already has fruity notes (like a lot of African coffee beans, this effect is enhanced. Also using milks with a higher fat should also offset the higher acidity _

I know pickle and peanut butter was on the last episode, but there is a Depression era sandwich you should try, cheap white bread, peanut butter on one side, mayonnaise on the other, filling of dill pickle and onion
