Get Plenty Of Protein Without Meat Or Dairy With Rachel Gaewski hardcoretam: Plant based proteins are cool, but unless you're mostly eating nuts and tofu the other main proteins come with a lot of carbs, which isn't ideal if you're diabetic or (like my friend) are allergic to nuts with an intolerance to peas, beans and seeds. From my experience, plant based proteins aren't as satiating as ones derived from animals which led to me overeating or always feeling hungry. I've tried to reduce my meat and dairy intake over the years and had some success but unfortunately when you're as busy with me with a really long commute and long hours at work with very little time to cook them getting something vegan and also dense in protein is not as easy or as cheap as animal based versions.

I'm 56, from/live in Kentucky & many folks do not know the difference between a true sweet potato & a yam. A sweet potato looks like a regular idaho russett potato with a light to medium tan/brown skin, is white in the interior & obviously is sweet. It has protein, vitamins, & minerals, but most of those are in the skin/peel. A yam, according to the FDA/USDA has the most protein, vitamins, & minerals than any other veggie whether a root veggie or a veggie that grows above ground ie: beans, peas, greens, etc. it is normally oblong with a medium / dark brown skin/peel with an orange interior, plus the skin, peel, interior are all full of the protein, vitamins, minerals, etc. yams are rated as the # 1 veggie for your protein, vitamins, minerals, etc. &] are grown in various regions/ states in the u. s, but sweet potatoes are primarily grown in North Carolina, but are grown in a few other states.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO I'm not vegan or a vegetarian but I hate the taste and smell of meat but I have to have it because 9 years ago I had gastric bypass surgery and I have sickle cell trait which makes me extremely anemic to where I have to get iron infusions but I cant seem to get enough protein in but I'm most definitely going to try these. I do 1c and month buy the veggie nuggets but they so expensive I cant afford them but again thank you for this video

There's no way I can eat a full cup of chickpeas or lentils and all that broccoli etc without seriously hurting my tummy and causing issues. Even when taking beano or when I used to eat that stuff all the time, it just still isn't pretty. Also, that's a TON of carbs in most those meals too, so what about a high protein plan that keeps the carbs say under 100g? I've had four drs suggest I try that.

Can you suggest high protein plant based recipes that are low carb for VSG? Had VSG nearly 3 years ago and would like to start stepping away from the diet I have have lived with however would like to keep my daily carbs around 100g. I eat 4-6 meals a day which include high protein/low carb shakes which contain vitamins however I feel I need more plant based diet to up my nutrients - From UK viewer

To be honest, if you look at labels almost everything contains protein. And there are many good plat based products which have a lot of protein RELATIVE to other plant based products, none of which have nearly as much protein as animal based products do. So you can either eat a chicken breast or 4 bowls of oat meal

Worth mentioning that even if the proteins are there, the do not have the same quantity of amino acids as the 'proteins' from meat. So, basically you would need to eat more grams of plant protein to have the same amino acid (leucine) content as the ones from meat. This comes from a fellow veggie

I am bodybuilding and I am very tall, so I eat about 4000kcal per day and also 220 g of protein per day. I try to have about 2-3days of eating vegetarian, but I dont know how to get enough protein, even with the advice given in your video. Have you got any Ideas how to solve this problem?

If the point of being vegan is to save animals why haven't vegans figured out a way to grow beans, vegetables, fruit, and nuts with out killing insects, birds, and small animals. Whatever the hunters and trapper miss the exterminator will kill during agriculture process.

Your 17g of Protein for breakfast is nice, but thats a whole lot of food for 6% of my daily Protein. Not to speak of the carbs that are in there, that I DON'T want. This just confirmed, why I'm not vegan
