Can Chefs Make This Mushroom-Hater Change Her Mind? Guest: Okay so you snuck diced up pieces of mushrooms hidden under tons of other ingredients, that still doesn't mean she's going to go out and buy them and add them to her food at home. The very idea of a spongy and slimy fungus should indicate to you that it probably shouldn't be eaten. It's a filler ingredient for so many dishes and they're disgusting, just add more meat if you want the umami flavor.

Literally the one thing I will never eat that no one will eat either. olives. Its gotten to the point where say what you want about pineapple on pizza (which is something Im not planning on eating) at least pineapple on its own tastes awesome and on pizza at least it looks a little bit like cheese at first glance. Olives do not have that distinction. They look like black rings of bitter tasting death.

I bet whoever doesn't like mushrooms has only tried portobellos/button mushrooms in their life. They can sometimes have a strong, unpleasant aftertaste that wild mushrooms don't. I would recommend for every mushroom-hater to try oyster mushrooms instead. They have the mildest flavour out of the kinds I've tried, and they're pretty available in supermarkets.

These chefs did a good job, being a 56 yr, old Irishman from rural Kentucky where we eat most anything & waste nothing, i wonder if they would try some recipes from here, Destiny has a fine palate, but i would make, squirrel, raccoon, opossum, crow, etc, & see how they like that, it is good when cooked properly.

How can you hate mushrooms? I don't understand they're like the best non-meat non sugar, nonfat based food ever. I love me a nice portobello mushroom burger, of course her list of food she doesn't like is almost everything that I do like. I can agree with her on blue cheese it's nasty

my husband doesn't like mushrooms but i chop them fine and sautee them down and put them in meatloaf and he loves it and has no idea they're there. most food phobias are just a childish mental thing people need to get over.

A lot of videos like this are terrible. The picky eater will never be cured. She's a freaking developed ADULT So the only way she'll eat mushrooms is to be fooled by a different taste and textural approach.

I thought I hated mushrooms until I went to a Korean place near where I live. Now I love them, in that dish. I'm still not completely open to mushrooms though, but I will eat them if it's in a dish now.

The video was amazing, I also have that issue with some food and that way makes it look delicious. Could you make one with fruit? My kids wont try it unless it looks and smells mouthwatering

legit the mushrooms were such a tiny part of the food and you can barely notice it if you didnt know it was there so its not like she really going up against her picky eating
