ive always really struggled with peppers. They'll put out a bunch of flowers at the end of spring/early summer but then they always just drop them all without any turning into fruit. They then dont put any more flowers out until October and then theres not enough time for their fruit to develop before it gets too cold and the plant dies They also always get looaaadd of aphids.
I try to make sure that i keep them appropriately watered and fertalized. I have them on my east facing balcony where they get lots of morning sun but are in the shade during the afternoon. Ive even tried hand pollinating the flowers to see if that with produce fruit but alas no. I just dont know where im going wrong

Great content! My peppers showed wrinkly new leaves and droopy yellow leaves a couple of weeks ago. I assumed it was too much watering and cut back since then. Soil is barely moist, but although the new leaves look better, they are still kinda wrinkly. Most of the droopy leaves are yellow or have fallen off. Still, they are flowering and starting to produce new fruit, some pretty good amounts. So. what would Eric do Would he wait and see, or come from another angle I think watering feeding a shade are the keys. Last year I raised them under shade cloth and the plants were loaded. this year, it's OK, but nothing to turn your head like last year (except for the Megatrons)

As for watering, I keep my plants indoors on a window sill which gets sun from noon till sunset. I went on holiday for a week and put water droppers from Ikea into each pot. These are a terracotta tube with a plastic cone stuck on to it. You fill the cone with water and put a lid on. The first few days were very hot. I got home today and saw them looking very happy. Cones were empty but the plants are looking great though the soil looks pretty dry. They've grown, look very green and are getting more flowers. Just refilled the cones and I hope they'll continue to do this well.

I am 12 years old and last September I took a bell pepper from the kitchen put the seeds In some soil and put it in the window sill and forgot about it I saw them a couple weeks later I re planted them into a little tray fast forward to late June I am harvesting bowls of peppers I get multiple per plant and they are producing their second round I fertilize them put mulch and my pepper plants are huge

First time gardener starting small with some cayenne peppers being the only plant that’s doing super well or so I thought until I realized that this plant growing in the 2 foot thick clay pad my house sits on is a tomato no idea where it came from never even had a tomato at the new house got a stake in to trellis my new tomato and it’s 4. 5 foot tall

Please don’t pick peppers off of young growing plants, it’s a fallacy that if you don’t pick it the plant will direct ALL of its energy to growing the pepper.
Watch people like Pepper Guru, it’s possible for the pepper plant to grow new foliage AND peppers. You just have to feed the plant what it needs (fertilizer)

when the first flower comes out i start putting a little bit fertilizer in every watering (if its tap water) and remove early flowers. once the temperatures are going high like right now it explodes in size and the harvest will be way bigger. i also fertilize normally every now and then (higher dosages)

I grow bell peppers for me and my guinea pigs. I used to eat jalapeno stuff but my mouth can't even take that heat anymore. Occasionally I eat chilli peppers. I really hope i can get them to grow more peppers. They had a few but I think the heat is causing them to not put on blossoms right now.

8: 10 I didnt know that you could physically deal with insects by simply brushing them away until about 5 years into gardening. The larvae spawm at certain times so if you can semse it then ypu can just swat them away for a few days and it stops the reproduction cycle. Better than using sprays.

I grew peppers in my closet and moved them into at ent in my basement (started last year in like July since I live in Ohio and was my first time growing. Sadly they died thanks to mealybugs getting out of hand as well as the basement gettitfilled with stiff so its a totharder to reach the tent

My pepper plants are really small this year. I live in Grass Valley CA. Last year they did great! Our weather has been going back and forth hot then cool(70 degrees to high 80’s. It has been a crazy spring into summer. Will my plants catch up when it gets hotter

I saw the title and immediately thought, too late, friend, too late. Luckily, my peppers are doing great this year! You'd be so proud! I'm even seeing multiple bell peppers on my bell pepper plant, and normally that gives me nothing!

No Till farmer Jesse recommends pinching off the first pepper, the on the grows in the first fork of the plant. He refers to this as the king pepper and says they never have full flavor. Have you ever heard of this

Last year I grew sweet habeneros (not hot at all and taste just exactly like habeneros. Also bequinos (little beak). These are tiny little peppers with a little heat. So cute! Growing both again this year.

Went a little wild with peppers this year. Not even sure why. Had issues with my seed starting mix but now that they’ve been in the ground and we’re getting some serious summer heat they’re looking good.

I've been getting cabbage looper caterpillars on our pepper plants, basils and all mints. Evil lil inch worms they are. Thanks for you video and have a great weekend guys!

I definitely missed the planting window here in Arizona. I just got my beds up and running and didn't start any seeds because I wasn't sure when the beds would be ready.

I planted 4 different peppers in spring here in Vegas, and so far they are doing the best in the garden. Nothing harvested yet, but they have gotten much bigger.

All my peppers except one just did not grow this year. Had to buy starts. Last year got tons of peppers, no idea what happened. All other plants just fine.
