Hi. I know this is an older video, but I just bought a money tree 2 or 3 weeks ago and I want to make sure that I am treating right. I watched this video and think I may be underwatering it, but I can fix that. I'm wondering about fertilizing it though. It is April and I'm wondering if it is too early to fertilize it. Also, I know you recommended a liquid fertilizer, but I have a bead/pellet one at home. It is Miracle Gro shake and feed all purpose 12-4-8. Will this do, or should I get something else. I'm I'm canada and any recommendations would be awesome. Thanks

Wow. Great video. I just took a friend of mine's tree to care for it because its leaves were looking bad. I'm trying to learn how to care for it so I can eventually get it back to him. I pulled the plant from the pot and had to remove all but one of the braids with rotted from too much watering. I am hoping you can survive and with your video I feel more confident that I can move forward and do something for this tray. Thanks for the help.

My little money tree looked so cute in the store but now a ton of leaves have dropped off. I did see new growth but the new growth looks shriveled. I dont know anything about soil and if its a draining soil or not. Instead of talking numbers, can you give me an actual brand name soil to put it in? I dont know what these numbers mean. I kill every plant even succulents. This one might be headed in the trash soon too.

Good Morning. I know this video is a couple years old but I need help. My love gave me a money tree on Valentine day when I got it it was nice and green. a week later the leaves turned brown and fell off they have since grown back nice and green again. My problem now is 2 of my braids feel mushy how can I save them? this plant is growing really well I don't want the mushy braids to interfere. Thank LaRae

I got my money tree as a little gift from my mom and grandma from whole foods lol and it came with something with a few directions and it told me to water it once a week with 2 ice cubes but im guessing I just have to water it alot and let it dry and then repeat? Help lol. But great video, very helpful! My leafs started having tiny white spots on em after repotting and I was so scared lol

A money tree was one of my first plants along with a bonsai and bamboo plant. I had no clue what I was doing I killed all three of them watering them every day. After that experience I educated myself on the care of plants. I've been doing well with my plants for years now. Looking forward to getting another money tree and bonsai.

Have experienced a freeze a few weeks ago. Lost all the leaves. It is so large and in ground and braided. that bringing it inside was not an option. But now the base to about three feet is green but above that is burnt by frost. Can it be brought back. Oh, we are in Central Florida

did the deep watering method, idk if its gonna work
i think i overwatered it
and then my brothers money tree is dying dying and i tried the deep watering, which i again think was not the best mode of action
how do i fix this? (New plant owner, this is my first plant)

My money tree trunk stands keep going soft and spongy. Then the corresponding branch and leaves seem to go with each stand. I've lost one now 3 more are spongy. Only one good one left. What do I do? New to this plant stuff. Thanks

i adopted a Money Tree just like those from a local Chinese restaurant that closed down. i rescued it and its bamboo neighbor and they both were about to die when i made the rescue and are bigger, greener and fuller now.

Water tip if its dry. Take your time! A light sprinkle then wait ten minutes then water a little bit more again. Repeat. You want to let the water get rid of those tunnels where the water runs out. East does it.

I have already 5 money trees. I took one from a person to try to save it. It was terribly overwatered. Had to remove 3 out of 5 stems and it seems the two stems are growing already: )
