Planting Some Trees! Garden Answer Sharon: I love your videos. Just an idea about your back 40, as you once referred to it. You are going to need a place for baby to play. If I had your talent I would make a Never Never land meets Alice in Wonderland garden. Take all those new dawn rose create an arbor from your triangle garden to the back 40 so it feels like your being transformed. And let a child like imagination come out. You can still plant your cutting garden out there, give the baby his/her own veggie garden. You have so much talent. Love Love your videos keep putting them out.

Love the Hawthorne tree, the fat blue spruce, but he's something I would do with the roses that you are removing around the Blue spruce. I would love them where you planted the crabapple tree. The would look gorgeous there, especially the pink flowers from the crabApple tree, & the white roses.

Oooh, I love trees, I have soooo many plans for planting trees in my new big backyard, so I'm loving any tips and advise you can throw our way! I'd love to see you do a video on how to install a pretty flagstone pathway, I was totally in love with that feature in the Mackinac island videos!

Hummingbird Nectar Recipe
Directions for making safe hummingbird food:
Mix 1 part sugar with 4 parts water and bring to a boil to kill any bacteria or mold present.
Cool and fill feeder.
Extra sugar water may be stored in a refrigerator.
Red dye should not be added.

Speaking of roses, I've got 2 double knock out rose topiaries. I think they need to be dead headed right at the top because they look kinda scarred. scared I'm going to kill them. When should I do it? Am I going to kill them? They'll just be 2 4ft tall sticks framing my front steps. :/

Darn it! I love that Weeping Alaskan Cedar! Too bad I live in Central Alaska and it won't survive! It's so hard living in a zone 1. One of these days I will move out of Alaska, and try my hand at a beautiful garden like yours! Until then I'll just watch you grow things!

I love long videos! Lol. If you can make a video when you prune your roses that would be great! I know you already made a video a while ago but an updated one would be a big help!
That area to the left of the bees does look messy I can't wait to see what you do next!

I love the Hawthorne tree. It's just going to be gorgeous. Thanks for the meaning of persistent. Never paid attention to this when picking fruit bearing trees. Great to know!
I learn so much from you. Thanks for all you share with us. I love trees that attract birds.

So since the weather is getting cooler in my area, all of the beautiful summer flowers are on sale. There are a couple of Endless Summer Hydrangeas that I have my eye on. Do you suggest buying and planting them in the ground or overwintering them in the cans indoors?
