Mantis Compost Tumblers Garden Answer Lisa: I appreciate your videos about composting. I have been a Darwinian gardener up to this point but in the last year have been learning much more about plant care. I have a small, odd little area on the side of my house that is fenced in that I didn't really know what to do with and have recently decided to put in raised beds and make a small kitchen garden. I am having fantasies about lovely salads made with spring greens, edible flowers, and blueberries. I will definitely have to compost because I live in Florida and the soil in that area is nothing but sand. I will start the beds off wih garden soil from the nursery but I will have to keep it healthy so I don't have to keep buying soil. I'm looking forward to seeing more videos about your vegetable garden, especially when I start developing mine.

Omg I'm so excited. I just bought my first home last fall and my yard was an over grown mess. I've been so inspired by your videos and my yard is now being envied by the neighbors. I've been wanting to start composting but the tumblers are so expensive. I would really love to win one so that I can continue to inprove my new garden. My elderly neighbor next door liked what I was doing so much she asked if I could help her yard as she can't get down to do it. So now I've got 2 gardens and growing. Thanks for all the advice and inspiration

This is sooo much better than how my husband tries to compost. I really appreciate the information on how to do the composting as I bought a small one several years ago and have had no good results. My husband just mowed our 3 acres so have LOTS of clippings as he lets it grow long then rakes most of it for garden mulch. Guess what I am doing today-trying the new compost skills I have just learned! Thanks!

Ive had the big one for almost 20 years. The idea that youll get compost after a couple of weeks is laughable - think months. The metal barrel will also rust over time, the pile will not get hot, and you definitely do not want to fill the barrels because theyll be incredibly heavy and the whole thing will wobble. If I were to do this again, I wouldnt go with this.

This would be amazing in my area. I live in a community with a HOA and usually the landscaping contractors we employ leave a lot of debris around when they come and I would love to be able to utilize some of it for my little gardening space. Thanks for the opportunity and sharing your knowledge with us!

Darn it I never seem to able to get ahold of any drawings or giveaways until it's too late. Me and my wife have been talking about composting for a while. I got six kids so money's tight saw this and I thought I'll give it a chance to win. Oh well.

Do you like composting with or without worms, pros and cons? I was really interested in the little worm composter I seen in one of your videos. This is really cool too, I just can't decide which way to compost. Thanks: )
