Pruning Panicle Hydrangeas Garden Answer Christine: Laura this is excellent! I also never knew to cut those weaker branches off. Thanks to you, I'm learning how to properly care for my plants and becoming a much more confident gardener!
I have also been buying an abundance of both Proven Winners and Espoma products these past few years due to Garden Answer, so if they are listening, please continue to sponsor and support Laura and Aaron mightily!

These videos are great for information and advice. Just wondering about your record keeping though. How do you maintain the best schedule for plant care? All in your head or on your mobile phone or computer spreadsheet or notebook? The size of your garden is already impressive and you have said you have more plans in the next few years, so record keeping seems important. Any tips?

totally understand the method of cutting off the weaker branches. if I'm trying to get my hydrangeas to get taller would I leave those smaller branches on and would they eventually become thicker or do they remain smaller thus why you say to cut them off? thanks! keep up the AWESOME videos!

I never knew to trim the weak branches but it just makes sooooooo much sense! I could barely focus on what you were doing though because Russell is too adorable and those tulips, omg. I just wanted them to pop up while I was watching the video! Lol

Thank you for the super clear, easy to follow directions! I really needed this! You are my favorite gardening expert! We still have snow on the ground, but it'll be time for me to do this before I know it! Getting excited for the gardening season!

I love your videos! I was watching this, and when I saw Russel I wondered where's No? I think he was a black and white six toed cat that started coming around last year. Anyways, I can not wait to see this year's spring projects!

I have a Blue Wave hydrangea that I bought in 2012. It has NEVER bloomed. I have used Hollytone. And have transplanted it to a more sunny location using some sand with the soil. still nothing. Should I cut it back now?

Laura, we lve these videos. We learn so much. You may feel as if you are making a mundane video, but I promise you, the majority of us get inspiration and/or helpful information from them. Please keep them coming!

Very informative! I love hydrangeas. I just moved into my house a couple of years ago and I have a hydrangea that I have no idea what kind it is. It's never flowered and I don't know what to do for the poor thing lol!
