Bloomerang Lilac Update! Garden Answer Cindy: Miss Dexter, sweet kitty. Love the lilac, I need to plant one of these. .AN IDEA FOR PLANT TAGS. Get a 3ring binder, sheet protectors, print out screen-shots of each garden area (for example take Aaron's overhead go pro video, on the computer make a screenshot)
Put each printed screen shot in a sheet protector along with the plant tags. Then you can just flip through binder. To take it a step further have a sheet of paper in with it and as you add something list name and date. Also there maybe sheet protectors that are enclosed or have a flap so nothing will spill out.

I like that cat, he always want to be out in the garden with you! I have at least 5 y. o. Lilac in front of my house, but it does not bloom like your lilac! What am I doing wrong. It is on the east facing, so I don't get intense sunshine. Could it be the problem? Although I also have lilac on the west side and it is blooming miserably, with 8 hours of sunshine intensely for 5 hours, no shady tree around! It is very embarrassing to my next door neighbor. I am spending more time and money to my garden and they are miserable in producing blooms!

I love the update! Thank you for sharing. It was good to see a glimpse of Dexter again too. When my daughter was little she organized my plant tags in a small photo album. She just slipped each tag into the top of each page/pocket. Now they are all together in one place and its so easy to just flip through them. Now I just need to put the tags in alphabetical order, but, nah, its fun to look through them all anyway. Loved the video and great editing by Aaron. Happy first Mother's Day!

Oh, what a great memory of Dexter, he was such a great kitty. I'm glad you have Russell, he is such a unique kitty, love those fur babies. I really love lilac bushes, and this one is so beautiful, I love the fragrance that they give off, they were one of my mother's favorite flowers, Thank you for this video, it was very helpful, and gave me a few ideas on what to put in an area in my yard.

Dexter, what a sweet baby I live in Spokane in eastern WA (zone 6b) and our town is nicknamed the lilac city because of how many perennial lilacs we have everywhere. This year the lilac in our backyard bloomed and it was a really deep purple at first, more so than I've ever seen and the plant is over 10 years old. It's beautiful to see, and the smell is wonderful: ) Happy mother's day!

It's February 2021 and I am so excited to see this. We bought our house last year. I had a lilac bush when I was kid and I loved it. I have always wanted one again. I am going to buy the 1 gallon variety from the link you provided. I live in Pittsburgh and I cannot wait to see how it works.

Was this a Bloomerang purple or Bloomerang dark purple? Laura is calling it a dark purple but when the info came up on the screen it's sad Bloomerang purple with Bloomerang purple stats. Just curious because I'm trying to decide between the two

I just moved to an area with a huge lilac bush it's probably 10 foot. Look like it never been trimmed. How can I trim it back? I noticed it just bloomed on the very top an that was it. So I need to really get in there and cut help. I need it!

What a beautiful lilac. I planted a lilac bush a few years ago and last year it got one little section of buds but my dog chewed it off before it bloomed. No buds at all this year. I'm super bummed about it! Yours is gorgeous though

That round rock looks curiously like a geode. They tend to be very round and heavier than they look. What did you guys ever do with it? If you still have it you should try cracking it open! And happy Mother's Day to you Laura!
