Love your idea of planting dill in a flowerbed. Sounds like the making of a cottage garden to me! One question about working at your folks' place. I noticed the huge pile of leaves from raking the landscape. Will the leaves be composted and returned to their gardens? Leaves are garden gold for nutritious soil. Plants FLOURISH like crazy and that's why I purposely PUT leaves in my flower gardens and around shrubs in the autumn. No raking leaves in the Spring for me either. I let nature do it's thing and top with wood mulch. What's your opinion, Laura?

Dill is a great food source for butterflies (before they go into the chrysalis stage. the agapanthus is also known as Lilly of the Nile. The flowers are primarily in blue, but some come in lavender, soft pink, and white. We love them in zone 7, but they can be grown in the Pacific NW. Again, my faves come in dark blue. Just keep them on a drip schedule. ENJOY!

Funny that I recently didn't love love one of my garden beds and I removed mature ferns like the ones you have in those tiny pots! Western sword ferns grow crazy here- we have hundreds and they just spread all by themselves! I needed more room for colorful perennials and the ferns were huge and taking up precious real estate! Hope yours are huge by now.

Love the time stamps, they are so useful when I go back to review a certain subject. I always watch all the way through the first time. I know I would miss something otherwise. Thank you so much for doing us that courtesy. Who said customer service was dead? You have my sincere gratitude from Texas, zone 8.

I wish I could give you some of my agapanthus They are VERY hardy where I live (zone 9) and can easily be divided when they get huge! Can you do an update this Spring/Summer on the Amsonia? I have tried to get it at my local garden centers with no luck so I may order it but I havent seen yours in bloom.

I am rewatching some of your other videos this morning. It got down to 26 here last night. I have spring fever so bad. It's been so pretty outside but the wind is soooo cold still. I love being able to watch your vlogs it helps my cravings of wanting to have my hands in the dirt. Thanks Laura and Aaron

Ha ha, finally I can grow something you can't. Agapanthus grow like weeds in zone 9. The flower looks very ordinary to me. Many of the shrubs and perennials you plant don't work in my zone. All those PW flowering shrub that you plant I can't grow. sigh! But the annuals, your are very helpful.

You make everything look so easy! If I did all that in a day or even Id be super exhausted & not be able to move for a few after that! Gardening is a lot of work, bending.
Maybe put 2 of those knee pads together? You could glue them with gorilla glue to make a really thick cushion.
