I wonder, Laura, if you ever plant things and then realize they just don't look as amazing as you thought they would in their new positions. I do and it can be so frustrating. Is it hard on the plants to keep moving them around into new spots a year or two later? Hope to see the updates of your newly, spring-planted perennials when they come into their full glory. Have a good one!

A day without you is a day without sunshine! you said the magic word in the end of video. deer resistant! I saw on Proven Winners order page that there is a local nursery that carries their plants. Beyond Midnight is what I want. Fingers crossed I can get some Saturday morning! Thanks much!

Hi Laura, if I could visit your family nursery I would! However, I will be visiting Portland this weekend for my anniversary! Is there any nurseries youd recommend for me to visit? I love succulents so thats my main project currently as well as starting my raider bed garden! - Jessica

Ah, I wondered why I hadn't heard of this beauty. I'm in zone 4.
I guess I'll have to continue being satisfied with Nepeta (catmint) and Johnson's Blue geranium.
Still, I love the pruning lessons. 30 years of gardening and I'm still nervous when it comes to pruning.

thank you. Your pruning tips are very helpful. Many times I am not sure when or how to prune perennials. Also, do you have problems with shrubs that put out a lot of suckers like Clethra and Calycanthus?

Super helpful since I bought 4 of these last year. The bees love the blooms and found them even before they were planted. Thanks for showing this so once the growth starts to show I can do the pruning.

Question: I know you use a lot of mulch and I do as well, but how do you control weeds without using a landscape weed barrier? I am battling clovers.
