Making a Fall Wreath That Will Last! Garden Answer Meanne77: so beautiful! I love making wreaths but it's not something that is usually done here in France. I love vine wreath but I can't find some for way too much expensive. I have one made of straws but I've used it 3 times already and it's really starting to come undone when I remove the embellishments because of the hot glue: ( Do you have any tip on that? Or are vine wreathes so cheap in the US you just don't bother taking them apart?

So pretty! I would love to know further recommendations for which plants in your yard work well as dried material in wreaths and arrangements. (Im going to go try to salvage the echinacea I just tossed in the compost bin)

I know you mentioned in the tour of your parents garden how that your mother always mad a house a home and went the extra mile with little touched. I think you can say you are your mother's daughter!

It turned out very nice, there's so many ways you could have gone with this. I like the items you selected. Making wreaths and changing them out every year makes my holidays that much more fun!

Laura, do you ever spray your hydrangeas with hairspray? I use hairspray on the ones I use at Christmas time as it keeps them from shattering in my pots. Your wreath is GORGEOUS!

Maybe this is a silly question but do you have to bring these kinds of wreaths in when it rains? Have to imagine they wouldn't keep if exposed to the elements.

I live in Canada and i am wondering what should i ask for to get the same magnolia leaves as the one you are using on that wreath. Thanks for your help

So pretty! Wreath making is one of my favorite things. I have two of those owls that I got last year at my local garden center, I just love them!

Beautiful job, Laura! The rose hips and feathers added the perfect touch. Love using the reverse side of magnolia leaves! Thanks for sharing.

Do you deconstruct and save the wreath elements after the season? Wondering how you would remove the hot glue. I always find that a problem.
