I very much wish I would have used popsicle sticks to mark where I planted seeds! Of course I thought I would remember which and where and now I only know about half
This is first year Ive planted a lot of flower seeds and its so hard to be patient, especially when I go to garden center and there are full blooming snapdragons and zinnia already. My seedlings dont even have first true leaves yet. Hopefully, it will be impressive in another 6wks

I have planted wild milkweed from those big, fat, seed pods we get her in WNY and they took really well. Problem is, they took too well, & removing them is very difficult because of their REALLY deep tap root. I am glad I have them though. I've seen a tremendous increase in the number of monarch's we get here. They have also loved the tithonias I've planted for them. I've never seen so many butterflies in my yard. So happy to have them.

3: 17 no it shouldn't be covered like that, I know air can still pass through but really it should be open. If you care about your energy costs and efficiency you can install a small unit into the wall (common in japan) in the areas that you'll be in most of the time (your bedroom, baby's room, kitchen. You can time the whole house to cool 2hrs before waking up, at night you can use the separate cooling units.

Great video: ) I'm trying for the first time outdoor sowing in clear plastic 1 gallon jugs with lupines and foxgloves. I also plan to do some indoor micro greens in mason jars.
I'm setting up a shelf system with lights for my indoor plants Calatheas (so in love with them) and succulents (a new addiction thanks to you LOL. Note to self to buy cookie trays--clever idea to use them to root succulents.

I am going to start my milkweed outside this weekend too! Four kinds of flowers inside, but I need a grow tunnel. I am out of space! grin. Who needs a kitchen when spring is almost here? Right. Thank you so much for all of the great information you share with us. From one Oregon lady to another. you rock!

Laura I know you like Alyssum I had great luck with germination direct sowing them. So if you have bare spots that's another to consider. Forget me nots are another that germinate well direct sown. These are both good if you have a lot of ground to cover. The pollinators love the forget me nots.

Glad you mentioned the invasive nature of Milkweed, now I know where NOT to plant it (as I have 2 packets. Direct sowed Larkspur, Poppies and Bachelor Buttons in January. Zone 7 here. The little seedlings are thriving, despite freezing temps, snow and gushing rains. I can hardly believe it myself.

13: 11 are those full spectrum lights or just common fluorescent lights? I use some LED bulbs that are mostly red and blue LED along with some UV and infrared LEDs to better simulate sunlight. Not sure how well they would do under what you have there. those look like fluorescent lights

I am recovering from a major surgery and discovered your videos. I have enjoyed them and learned so much. I am starting seeds now so I will have some flowers and plants by the time I am recovered and can do more. I am so inspired by your love for plants and your videos. Thank you!
