Planting Coast to Coast Hostas! Garden Answer Tobhiyah: I never used to appreciate Hostas until I found a few fragrant varieties that smell MAGICAL! Think Arabian nights light perfume. Pure heaven. I have them all over now; always close to a sitting area or walkway so I can enjoy them as much as possible. Also, if you could post a video of how you remove the Red Tulips from the ones you want to keep that would be awesome! I have about 150 incorrect tulips that were sent to me all interplanted with 950 that I want to keep & I can't even begin to imagine how I'm going to separate them out without damaging all the others.

Hello Laura. I watch u all the time, but I am getting confused as to why u keep planting things do close 2gether. Those Hostas r only half grown this spring. They will be a touching each other. Then I got really upset when u dumped like a cupful of that slug killer. One only needs like a tsp. Sprinkled around unless u have an army of slugs which u shouldn't even use it until u see slugs!
That stuff is not safe for birds. Also RUSSELL WAS EATING YOUR SLUG BAIT! U didn't even seem to care,
If RUSSELL is not feeling well u will know why.

Leave the red tulips! They are beautiful. Im not generally a fan of red flowers either but the clear red of these tulips is beautiful. Also they go very well with the chartreuse green of the hostas and the yellow tulips. You dont have anything pink and purple in there and I know thats what you generally say is why you dont like red. They dont clash!

These plants are so pretty & a perfect choice here. Hostas have become my favorite yard plant, almost addictive a lot of reliable greenery bang for the buck. You can divide them forever. And the varieties available are outstanding. Big ones, little ones, round leaves, curly leaves white, lime, gold, blue; all of the above: )

I don't like cats but that Russell is a show off. He stole the show here. I would think I was in heaven in a yard like yours. Happy for such a young couple to have accomplished such a beautiful heavenly place. I pray my daughter will one day get the green thumb bug and do the same thing to her future property.

Beautiful. I have a full hosta garden with many varieties. It's pretty striking and colorful with no blooms! The foliage is spectacular.
I would love to have an astilbe garden with wafts of one color into another color.

Those are some of the most beautiful hostas I have ever seen! That looks like the perfect spot for them. I can't wait to see what they look like once their fully established and the other hostas have grown out.

Happy to see your beautiful crabapple tree in bloom! I live near Chicago which is also a zone 5, but we had some super kart season snow and frost that killed off all the cherry and crabapple flower buds: (

I love your videos. So much knowledge. I do have a problem. I just looked at my hosta in my front garden. The leaves all have small brown spots. Can you tell me what is causing that?
