I just got 2 snake plants or mothers in law tongue to go by my fireplace. Since bringing them in from the nursery, we have these small knats or bugs? Is there anything I can use to get rid of them without harming the plants?

That nepenthes aka monkey cups as you called it, gets bigger than that entire pot. I do not think you can provide conditions to let it keep growing. The waterfall will help it, but it needs intense even sunlight.
