Planting More Flower Seeds (18 Different Varieties! Garden Answer RPRsChannel: Don't belittle your work here, your videos, they made me plant and prepare for this spring/summer. They are super informative.
I don't want to add more work for you, but maybe sometimes you could use the scientific names of plants? That's the universal language for the plants and international viewers can find them.
So, have you ever tried making your own fertilizer? I see you use a large variety of bought fertilizer, are they really safe?
But how do you make fertilizer? Stinging nettles soaked in water, the fertilizer is done in 2 weeks and just increases with time.
Store the stinging nettles in a large container filled with water, cram as much as you can, fill up with water.
And can also be sprayed on plants, keeps most bugs away.
This is super potent stuff. And illegal in Amsterdam.
You see, someone took out a patent on this and it seems it's illegal at least to sell this mixture in Amsterdam. Try combinig with lime for extra effect.
It might smell a bit, that might be a reason for some to not use it.
But you could try it on 1 plant or 1 set of plants, and not use it on another plant/set to see how it works?

I've just started working on mine (it's still super freezing cold here in southern Ontario, Canada, and my husband is working on 'MacGyvering' some options for attaching the lid - he's not confident of the tape method (he's not a gardener but he is my enabler - he built me 3 large raised beds 3. 5 years ago and sorts out any watering challenges with his clever handiness. But about your water jug seedlings. when it's time to start hardening them off will you detach your lids and then add stakes to know what's what? I'm also worried about my plant names written with marker because I'm afraid they'll wipe or wear off.

I tried the milk carton winter sowing and am having success too! So excited! I've never even tried to grow flowers from seed! Thank you for the how to video! Also, since there are so many seedlings, will you have to thin them out or what do we do now that so many are growing in the carton? I'm also wondering what you'll be doing with the caladium tubers you put in your home in the fall. Will you start them growing indoors and then put them in the landscape? I also have tried that and the tubers look healthy and ready to come out!

Hey! Question for you - do seeds need an opening for air while they are growing in a greenhouse? I am growing seeds outside in the late winter/ early spring. I have large plastic containers over the seeds to create a greenhosue effect- some of my seeds have sprouted. My one batch of seeds have not - I am worried if its because the container was not sealed enough and it allowed cool air to get in?

I have been doing the water jug method, that you showed ( people are impressed with the system, great conversation starter here in the rV Park)while we winter in Florida. I grew micro greens, and have been enjoying them in salads and on sandwiches. Once you open and harvest do you just retake them, and spread more seed or do you have to start over completely?

Absolutely gorgeous and beautiful garden, we can tell you're passionate about flowers and beauty but how come you don't take off your diamond rings when doing gardening or cooking? What's the point of husband's buying/investing $5 thousand dollars on a diamond ring and wives treat it like like it's nothing?

Hi Laura why do you pre-moisten the potting mix (make a mud pie) first and not just fill the tray and water the soil lightly, followed by more potting mix and seed plus water again? In Australia the potting mix comes with a warning not to breathe in and to wash hands really well after using.

Love the seed starting videos. Im following along and trying these techniques. Im confused about my next steps and I want to be prepared. I dont have a cold frame or a greenhouse. Will I need to transplant seedlings to starter pots before transplanting to the landscape? Im in zone 6b.
