Four Fun Fall Containers! Garden Answer Irene: Love the pots you created. I have a question and I hope someone answers me. It look's like when you place the plants in the pots you just place them where you want them and you don't add any more potting mix to them. Is that because you put a lot of plants in the pot so you don't need to add more dirt? When you water them, do you loose the dirt on top? When I plant my pots, it's a mess because I'm adding additional potting mix with each plant that I put in the container so then I can only add so many because there is no room. When you do it, it looks so easy and not messy. So I'm wondering if that's how you plant your containers without adding additional potting mix. for each plant? Thanks.

I LOVED watching you put these pots together- you are so creative- who would have thought you can put pumpkins right in the centerpiece or even kale or a tomato vine (from past video) I wanted to mention your north pole arborvitaes in the background! Oh my word they look gorgeous! (you mentioned a while back that they were now double in size after only 3 years of growth-nice) Thanks for all the inspiration!

Love this! I also just planted up my containers for fall. I have a question though- do you plant your perennial mums out in your garden? I love the fall color but am not certain that (1) I want to put that many mums in my garden permanently and (2) I think they look unattractive when the blooms fade so I find myself wondering if its worth all the waiting for one to maybe two flushes of blooms?

I got all my mums from my local garden center and are just now opening up here in Northwest Ohio. Just bummed they were marked with the incorrect color and are already in containers so my color combo I wanted didnt turn out the way Id imagined. But they are still performing well. I think I will have to do more neutral containers next year.

Hi Laura, loved all of these containers, so inspiring. I did a summer container because of all of your beautiful containers, but hadnt gotten to doing a fall container, so was glad to see some late fall ideas. My question, what are you spraying on the pumpkins to clean them up?

Hi Laura and Aaron! I kept going back and looking at all of them, but still can't decide which one is my favorite. They're all so pretty! You didn't talk about the spiller in the galvanized pot and it isn't in th list below. Is that a vinca? Thank you so much for sharing!

Absolutely beautiful! I noticed you used Wilt Stop on the pumpkins. Please tell us more about that. Will it help preserve them or just make them shiny? I ordered some to use this winter in my outdoor arrangements as you suggested in one of your videos. I cant wait!

Ooo I adore your plantings! You're the most artsy woman I know! I'm never disappointed watching you plant! But you forgot your turn table that a viewer sent, actually 2 viewers from your unboxings! So you have 3 now!
