Hi I have a question (hope you or someone replies)
Do the flowers once placed in the silica sand need to be kept in an air tight container?
The bag I've brought says that they do but every video I've seen just has them covered with the sand and left uncovered at the top (layer of sand)

Great video! Quick question though. What happens if you can't get all of the silica gel out?
Also, I'm thinking when my silica gel (the one you recommended) gets here, I'll end up taking a photo of the flowers before putting in the silica because I have the memory of a peanut!

This is an excellent and helpful demonstration. My question is, how do these crystals differ from those included in Wisedry moisture packs? Will they remove moisture from the air the same way, or is there some sort of difference? Thank you again, excellent all the way around!

Hoping someone can help me. I am trying to preserve my sisters wedding flowers as a surprise for herthe flowers seem to dry well and are crispy and almost starting to fall apart but as soon as I take them out of the container they start to soften. What am I doing wrong?

I found these silica crystals very difficult to work with. They got allll over my counters, table and floor and were so hard to finally clean up. Also I did the silica with the microwave and found that most of the flowers lost there nice color.

Hi. I just did a bouquet of flowers using silica powder after watching this few months ago. Just wondering, how long the dried silica flowers will last after we preserved it in the silica powder for few days?
