wowsers! that is a great storage room! i am always so impressed the way you and Aaron are so thorough in your assessments and planning of the things you do. how fun is it going to be to go shopping for veggies over in the storage room? and i think bringing everything in was a wise move. i can't imagine being out in the new space with the wind and snow and brrrrr. and a cold bot! who knew? i gotta tell hubby about that! we won't ever need one but how cool (haha) is that? :)

Coming along nicely. Russell doesn't just think that storage bin is for him. He thinks you built him his own little man cave to take shelter from the weather in. Glad to hear you're hip to his tricks and will be counting noses every time you exit the root cellar. Make sure to look high and low, especially where Russell is concerned. He loves to be up high. Pet his sweet head from me. Lisa

Hi Laura! You got quite a nice harvest of beets and carrots. Would you please explain the difference tastes of the beets and carrots? I think I'd like to try both, but would want to try the tastier ones. Also, if you would, I'd like to see the different ways you prepare the beets. The root cellar is looking good. Thank you for sharing!

please take care when dealing with your big brush mound on the new property. It's been there long enough - and it's now cold enough - that an animal/animals/animal babies could have made their home inside. You don't want to burn animal/animal babies - if you choose to burn the pile. That would be a terrible way for an animal to perish.

You are amazing, so much work to do with being pregnant. I have to mention the cats. They are darlings, I have never owned a cat just dogs. Yours follow you around like my dog does with me. Ive never seen social cats like this before, just house cats that hid away. Hope you have a easy delivery, youve work hard enough.

You are one hard working woman! I think that we have all figured out that Russell is going to be wherever you are. It is a beautiful thing to see. He loves you so much. I have watched you for a long time and even though I live in the deep south with high humidity I have learned so much from you. Thank you.

Random question: I was watching your old videos about trees as we are trying to add more to our property and Im soooo confused. Why do the tags say hard to -20 or just one zone on them? Most I see say like zone 4 can I plant that if Im in a zone 9? Or do I have to find a tree that just says zone 9?

I wonder if you can rig a one-way cat door so in case one of them (Russell) gets stuck in there, they can make their way out but can't go back in. Alternatively, have a motion sensor in the root cellar so you can identify if any creatures (cats or other) are in there.

You mentioned several times that you wet the vermiculite a bit for your bulb storage because it is so dry in your area. My question is, since you're now storing in a temp controlled and humidity controlled room will this now potentially be an issue?
