My sitter would stamp my sons hands though out the year and write the dAte on the back of them and a small funny story about him and connected it as a garland. She used 5x10 index cards and attached them to twine. They are my favorite to reflect on. Hes 19 now. You took me back when youre little guy came to see his tree. Thank you for sharing. Love those nutcracker ornaments. Never seen any with legs that hang. Beautiful job on the trees.

I know for a fact that its hard with cats and kids, but what about a tree with some good old fashion silver tinsel on it. I get A (1) real tree and tinsel is a must, but it's becoming scarce (vintage) these days. What used to be a dollar a box, can only be found for $5 and up a box. My daughter in law found about 6 boxe, s last year, someplace for me. gonna have to make them last. I dont use a lot, just enough for that twinkle.

I love your house! The trim and window casings are exactly like mine! I've been thinking about painting mine white, but now that I've seen yours, I'm not so sure. That must be a huge house to have that many trees. Mine is a very small farmhouse, so one tree will have to do. I'm inspired to put up a tree tomorrow and decorate! Thank you!

The tree skirt that you got from Balsam Hill last year is simply gorgeous! I love the Nutcracker tree. The top looks beautiful too even without any ribbon topper. Benjamin was a hoot when he pulled off all the twine on those cars. What a cutie! I would have never thought to use dollar store toys as ornaments; you're so creative!

Well, after watching this and seeing that tree with all the micro-lights, for the first time in my life, I went out and got an artificial tree. I always used real trees and now after seeing the Elegans at Home Depot, I couldn't resist. It's a beautiful tree. Thank you Laura for making the decision easier for me to switch.

I noticed at the very end that the tree behind you was missing lights at then very bottom. Is that something guy deal with, with all your pre-lit trees? Its my one hesitation for getting a pre-lit. what to do if one or more sections of lights dies.
