Early Spring Flower Planting! Garden Answer Denise: Omg. Same happens here in Oklahoma. If the winds arent blowing out of the north. Then yes, out of south. I am actually doing container planting today from seeds. Working on new raised flower bed. With south strong winds. But like you said. Cant keep waiting. I have been watching your videos, for the first time, for the last 3 hours. Time for coffee. And I do thank you for all your advice and knowledge. Will be following.

Rich is the word I would use to describe the tall pot next to your house. The two pots leading into the garden really show off the beautiful pots! Finally and most important - have you shown BENJAMIN the queen sitting on her thrown, inside the pansy? You can't miss her if you pull back the petals slightly and look in the center - so regal! My Mom showed me about 70 years ago and the pansy queens still live there!

Love, love, LOVE the first urn you did. The colors together are gorgeous. And the airiness and movement of the hellebores, ferns and pansies. I would like to replicate. How long do you expect those plants to perform there? Will you reuse some/all elsewhere later? Also, can I plant those in a shaded spot right now, early spring? Thank you for a beautiful design and color palette idea

Hi, thank you for all the videos and super helpful information that you share!
Can you do an experiment with baseless pots? Bunny Guinness always talks about how wonderful they are and it would be super interesting to see if plants actually perform better in baseless pots as opposed to ones with just drain holes. Again, love your videos and thank you for all that you do to inspire us!

Laura is my favorite garden muse. I have learned so much from her and was smiling because I have done the same thing with my pots. Filled a few with pansies and ranunculus while I wait for the tulips to flower in the rest of my pots. Thank you Laura for all your inspiration.

Soil under evergreen trees is acidic. I bet if you checked the soil under that Juniper it is very acidic, and THAT is the reason the hydrangeas are not doing well over there. I know they like acidic soil but sometimes it's too acidic under evergreens!

I love watching you. Every night instead of TV. I watch Your videos, My husband knows your voice from far already. I can't wait to go to my garden thanks to you. I am a beginner gardener so I enjoy your videos. Thank you

I don't understand how you can plant these things already? Are you doing it just for the videos knowing it will freeze and die? I live in the same zone as you (6) and it still gets below freezing here regularly.

The first planter is beautiful but as the plants grow, will they become root bound. My experience has been that my plants get so big and full after planting; much fuller than the plant description tag indicates.

While you are working on the development of the flower bed with the Galloway Urn, I would love it if you talked about ways to cover up air conditioning units. Maybe you have already done that and I missed it?
