video description
My question is how do t water the greenery without taking to sink, they are getting larger and Im getting older 79. so it would help to water in place but Im afraid of sitting water in the saucers under them or in decorative pots they sit in. Can you advice

Your arrangement is pure genius. It must look striking to see that color combination up close, in the daylight, with that color on the branch & the soft yellow petals of the flowers petals with a wine red throat in the rich green base greenery. It would make a beautiful still life photo in the daylight.
Loved seeing the hellebores plump buds. It reminded me that my spring bulbs will be in bloom with the spring. I've already seen the earliest new leaf tips emerging in a volunteer patch of my earliest spring bulbs, & one of my favorites, the Snow Drops.

If I can make a comment about putting soil in your cold frames. You may want to seal it with a concrete sealer on the inside. We made a cement block retaining wall and have plants behind it. We were not aware it should have been sealed, so consequently we have a white film that appears fairly regularly, I'm assuming it's the lime from the block. Not sure if bricks are the same, but a call out to your installer may save you a lot of work in maintenance.

You are the most knowledgeable landscape designer I've ever seen. It's overwhelming to see what you and your mother have done. Do you have any videos or insight on how you plan out your landscaping on a blank slate home? Tips on doing it without cashing out my 401k lol? How do you keep weeds from taking over? As I'm building my first home right now, you've really inspired me to invest more in my outdoor space.

While you were hacking off the frozen soil from the sedum (Aiyah! LOL - sounded like a Karate chop, how did you clean up the soil landed on the gravel? Over the years, soil got on top of my gravel, weeds have become a huge problem. Any advice that you could share to keep the gravel looking clean and new, please?

You have no idea how much I love seeing something with natural brick. My head explodes everytime I see a renovation show painting brick. Good thing they weren't in New England or in Europe 100+ years ago or there'd be no historic buildings unpainted. :0 Love the brick!

Any advice on starting Pansy from seed? I've had spotty results. I learned they need darkness to germinate. but any other tips? Also had a tough time with Impatiens (of course it didn't help that the seed company had Colius seeds in one of the packages)

Hi Laura! This was fun! I love the arrangement you made with the twig, it's so pretty! The cucumber salad sounds good, but would like the recipe, please! Missed seeing your Mom's reaction to the hellebores though. Thank you so much for sharing!
