New Annuals for 2022 Garden Answer Adele: Hi Laura, thank you so much for this preview. I plan on seeking out the Vista Jazzberry this season since I planted the Bubblegum last summer for the first time and they were AMAZING. If you (or anyone) reads this, can you please link a video of the one plant per planter that you made a while back? Im so guilty of planting too many flowers in one hanger or pot that at first looks great but then without fail, some stronger plants seem to choke out others. Id love to try the one plant idea assuming some of it was a success? TIA

Hi Laura,
I love to watch your videos in the winter time because they always get me excited for spring! I have never ordered plants online and I am adding a lot to my garden. I don't have a greenhouse and they are all full sun plants so I have been holding off on ordering. Could you please do a video about how and when you choose to begin ordering plants? I am worried that if they come too early they'll wilt inside, but if I order too late they won't be in stock. Thank you!

the super tunias are a amazing summer flower, i try to find seeds for those cause i have abig greenhouse to grow all my flowers for summer but finding the seeds in my little town is a challenge, and verbinia grow good in my area, beautiful colour, cant wait till spring, im in powell river on the b. c. coast and our weathers pretty good, i grew my first banana in my yard i do have to wrap it up in winter but it does well here in the summer and looks so tropical! lol

So glad to see a lavender colored plant from Augusta! Im from the area and can contest that we definitely have hot and humid weather. Plants here dont like large temperature fluctuations like high desert areas get though so Im not sure how this one will work in your garden.
I would trade zones any day though! The humidity is a beast and makes gardening in the summer absolutely miserable. Its all I can do to go out and pick vegetables for 10 minutes a day.

How do you know what to put together? I'm trying to figure out what to do with the HUNDREDS of amaryllis and agapanthus I just dug out to clean out the tree roots and break apart the enormous clumps of agapanthus in my front yard. Both amaryllis and agapanthus bloomed profusely last spring/summer. I only had the two types of plants in the large flower bed but I know I need to add something else. I just don't know what. I love you and your show!

I found the geranium bold pink last fall at my nursery (Zone 8b / Las Vegas, NV) and it is so beautiful! Geraniums are perennials here and its overwintering quite well. Love it! I have the original Blue My Mind and they reached out to nearly 4 feet. The one planted in more sun is doing remarkably well. New growth already appearing! It stayed in bloom throughout our very hot [110+ degree] summer heat too.

Also ordered the blue (more solid) superbena that you talked about. Been waiting on the tater tot arborvitae so finally I will be able to add that structure to highlight my flower beds! Hi Laura
You talked about planting one super vista and how the canopy was huge. I planted them at the edge of my garden bed last year. They were glorious.
The canopy was huge and spilled out on my sidewalk and never burned. I had neighbors ask if they were fake flowers.
Cant wait to plant this year. Proven Winners is all I will use. Thank you for what you do!
