Planting 2023 Container Recipes! Garden Answer Alexander: For a few years I have been thinking: wouldn't it be nice if some neighbours would design (or let you design) their garden in a way that it combines with your gardens and that they will boost each other, while providing beautiful back drops for each others gardens. If the new neighbours are good customers from the garden centre there is at least a chance of them creating something more that just grass and a camper storage haha. Who knows what this will lead to. Love all the combinations by the way. The yellow and purple is this years combination at my balcony, combined with a touch of bright orange. 6 meters of flowers and plants. I am in doubt heavily about what I did, because a month ago most plants were planted as seed and bulbs and I love to see what happens and be surprised and at the same time I hate to not know upfront what it'll be what I am getting; -)

The name Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow is already in use. LOL. Its the name for Brunfelsia which is an AMAZING shrub plant in the southern landscape, Zones 10 & 11, though It will also grow in Zone 9 with freeze protection. The mini vista Indigo is a great replacement if you dont live in an area with high heat and humidity. If you do live in Z 9-11 then I highly recommend giving YTT a try. Its fabulous. :)

I hope that these planted containers pop up in other videos so we know how they are doing. I love when the next years recipes are featured because it gives me ideas for my planting list. Thank you, Laura! Can you imagine being so blessed that Proven Winners provides you with next year's plants to try out? WOW! I love your choices for Unique Stone containers!

How are you keeping your flowers in the pot out side and its not drooping and laying flat? I bought one from the box store and put it in shade outside. And went out to water the next day and the whole thing was laying flat on the ground. So how can I plant a full sun loving plant in the sun when it didnt even handle the shade? And it was only 94 today.

My (now 8-year-old) son and I have been watching your videos together for a few years now. Thank you so much for creating this fantastic place! We cannot agree on your wicker pot if it is concrete or actually wicker, can you help us settle a bet? Thank you we love you all so much!
we love your episodes! -Axel, I'm eight

These are lovely, but I'm a little confused by spacing. I understand these are containers, so they're elevated, but don't plants need space to grow? These containers aren't as full as Laura usually fills her containers, but still more than I'd think the tag says for spacing. Do they get enough airflow?

Just fyi, there's already a flower named yesterday, today, and tomorrow. It's brunfelsia. Very pretty blue flower that, as the name suggests, changes daily. I grew it about 30+ years ago. Can't recall seeing it much lately but that might be because I moved across the country over 20 years ago.

It's so useful for PW to make these recipes, because they do put together things that you many not have done, and when you see them grow together and intertwine, you get the full effect. So it's great to have you doing the actual planting for us, so we'll see it for ourselves. Thanks, Laura!

Greetings from zone 5b. Ooh I love how your containers look. I cannot wait to see them when they fill out. I am looking forward to purchasing these PW flowers next year. Laura, I was thinking of you today when I was planting my containers. I always enjoy your videos and good ideas.

Cannot wait to see these guys in all their glory! My favorite grouping is the peachy coral grouping. Is it me or are these mixes giving off a beachy/California vibe? That's what I felt with the wicker grouping anyway-which makes the unstained wicker even beach-ier! Love them all.
