Plants with Beautiful Berries for Fall & Winter Interest (+ Hartley Pathway is DONE) Maybe you can try out some tropical looking plants. Some palms and a banana called musa b. are in some countries winterhardy with protection. And gladiolus and crocosmia grows also often back. In England even canna indica survives. But I tried it once to let it in the ground, some roots survived, but it was growing too slow, it got no flowers. Now I will try out agapanthus. Some are winterhardy.

It's hard to know which I love more, Pedro & crew's stonework or your planting BIG trees! Each fully & immediately change the landscape to create the canvas/backdrop to your plantings. Each couldn't be done without. As I watched Laura choose which plant for which spot, she too, felt like an artist choosing from her palette. Gardening (as any good gardener knows) is a collaborative art form, & like any art form worked in tandem with the Creator.

I just rewatched your earlier videos from when you just moved into the house. It s crazy how much has changed. Very happy to see your visions for the garden become reality. Makes me excited to have my very own garden one sweet day.
Question: How are your honeyberries and blueberries doing? Haven't seen them around for a while. Also, does Benjamin still remember the earthquake back in 2018?

Laura, you are a true artist with your vision of how your plantings will mature. The layers that you create along with the textures and colors are beyond amazing. I have been a florist for almost 40 years, but in regards to outdoor planting and gardening, I have learned so much over the time I have been watching your videos. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with others

Here s a plug for becoming familiar with botanical Latin. Laura planted Mahonia repens today. The second word in a botanical name is always a descriptor, so by looking at the name, you know that it s a creeping plant, because repens = creeping. Acer rubrum? Rubrum = red, so that s a red maple. It s super interesting, and much less intimidating than people think.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! We ve been looking for low growing shrubs that grow wide, for a specific area in our back garden, and these suggestions are awesome! Now to try and find them at our local garden centers! Love videos like this that give great suggestions, and introduce us to plants we might not have thought of or seen before! You guys are the BEST!

They are smart asking multiple times especially since you can't decide, don't know, not sure, changed your mind, that's hard work laying those stones. Still mocking her husband. I understand Aaron more now. Oops Laura your mask is slipping and the real Laura is showing up. Should I plant it high comment earned you a thumbs down. Gush about that.

Good morning! That pathway is beautiful. All the plants you pit into the ground today will add more beauty to your space. You are fortunate to have access to all those plants. I haven t found a garden center in my area that has an extensive plant selection. I just ordered a coral berry from Creekside Nursery and can t wait to plant it later today!

I loved seeing so many birds at your pond - they just sort of flitted away to a new spot near the water as you approached for plantings. What a lovely habitat you created!
Question: any plans for bulbs in the new property? Something wild and informal for your little woodland border?

That pathway is gorgeous. Ive been planting up a storm and transplanting like crazy. Our temps today will be in the 80s but dropping to the 50s for the next several days. I'm also cleaning out the vegetable garden. Loving the fall weather.

Keep on repeating your excellent advice about not rushing to fill your new space. People gave me a huge number of slips when I moved in here. 20 years later, I have invasive plants everywhere. There is a reason people give away plants.

I d like to see a video on wintering over when you don t have a structure to put them in. Are certain plants easier to winter over are there plants that you should just put in the ground & dig it up in the spring & replant

Hard to miss the red knee pad! Lovely gesture from a viewer! This winter interest video is one of my favorites. Love the companion to the proud berry. The walkways are beautiful. Our country needs more craftsmen/people!

Thank you for sharing your artist's method of waiting days or weeks to settle visually on what you want before committing by actually planting. I loved the water sounds by the pond, & Russell rushing up the path.

I heard in a recap video Aaron mentioning drip zones 70 and 72 when talking about drip issues. How many garden zones do you have on the property, and how do you know when a zone is full?

In my country (Poland) Aronia is considered to be a natural medicine, it s rich in vitamins and my grandmother and mother make juice and healthy jams. Is your variety edible as well?

Waited all these years for Laura to say Barberry! I love the color barberry brings, stays that color all year round, no deer no rabbit browsing, just wished they re not so prickly
